Amazing sketchbook, I have gone through these pages a lot.. Your stuff is really powerful, great compositions, and that good usage of foreshortening gives it that "boooom" effect + all the other things:d

Oooh nice updates for us! I really like the monster dudes shooting people up.

I was wondering do you still do things like life drawing or would that kind of thing be not much help anymore?

nice update, is that fan art or art made for Borderlands? Also do you use photoshop to lift up the whites and give them that shine? or is it some technique you have?

    Hey Mike!

I used to think there was no possible way for you to get any faster at what you do, but seeing how you're adding these digital tools to what you do... it's pretty damn awesome!

the background for the crucifix comp, especially the ground plane cracks and details... perfect! and the scene inside the blood splatter of the suicide headshot...f'ing great!

(p.s. i still can't get over how small and tight you can draw too. my eyesight's not bad, but i usually have to do my duralene stuff pretty big in comparison. you've got the magic touch with it. i'm envious as all hell.)

Hey man, long time no see! Great updates as usual, those borderlands pieces are really nice. It's really cool to get these behind the scenes looks at what we get to see finalized in the media. I wish i could see you in action. Keep it up!

I saw some of your traditional pieces in art books I own. Now I can see that your digital is even more amazing!
You also have a book, right?
    Powerful strokes!

Nice looking sketches. You really crank them out, too. Good job with working out a wide value range in your pencils.

mike i cant get over how unbelievably fucking insanely good you are. how is every single compositional variation all so precise. do you come up with the poses and background elements all from your head or do you have refs to help you with ideas?
