Nice, I like the dark and gothic theme. The skull looks perfect. Personal taste I wouldn't mind seeing not just monotone colors, but it looks great as is. Most of the time you just see death on a horse but the decaying pig is nice twist.

I was about to say her face look a bit flat, but then you corrected it in a post.
Thanks. I've done some more work on the image with the woman, but not really worth showing right now.

Most of my time have went on getting my male basemesh sorted out, and now I think I can call it done.
I will make the female version asap.
Since it will be used for zbrush I haven't bothered too much with minor shapes, since it's alot more easier to tweak in a sculpting-program.
Focus have been more on creating a decent topology.
Since I need to fill my portfolio with new stuff it's going to be more 3D stuff coming.

There might pop up some 2D from time to time though.

Noticed some weirdness on her arm.

Been working on the two basemeshes. Did some minor tweakin on the male and got started with the female. Will look up more refs and try to achieve some attrectiveness on her.

Did more work on the basemeshes. Noticed they where about 8.5 heads tall so I've fixed that, and alot of more tweakin. I'll gather some clothing ref and get started with the female character I had in plan. Counting on alot of tweaking on the female along the way.

And a quickie. Took it pretty easy this weekend. Hopefully I can get some more stuff done next the coming week.

Wow...those 3D figures are looking great! We don't start in with computer work until next year (hence the inability to leave a remotely helpful comment!), but I'm really looking forward to it. The last image is so striking...I love the clean white line that you put there. I like how hazy and dreamlike the rest of the image is, but I think adding a tiny focal point of deep, sharp darkness could help balance against the white and give the eye somewhere to rest. Keep up the great work!

    Thanks alot for your support!

Wow, long time since I posted anything, but hopefully I won't dissapoint anyone since I haven't been working less.

Since lack of energy and not so much sparetime progress on this caracter has been slow but is finally taking shape.
Been gathering alot of refs and worked particaularily alot on refining the face. Still a long way to go I guess but I think it's heading in the right direction.
Hair is placeholder right now and clothes will be sculpted as well as some parts of the boots and the character's body and face.

This is the direction I want the character to look like: http://www.1999.co.jp/itbig08/10086957.jpg

    Crits very welcome.

Long time no update again. But I got some new shit to show ya!

Been working mostly on this piece. Want to get better at oldschool handpainted gameart so that's what I'm doing. It's great fun and very straight forward.
Still very WIP on the texture as you can see. Started off on a concetrated area just to get the hang of it. Hopefully I will cover the other parts faster now.

There are no solid concept on this one but I did some sketches to get some ideas, and I really gotta do more on paper.
    Pardon my scanner...

Done some tweaking on my military girl as well. Will get back to this project when the current character is done.

And a quickie sort of. Just trying to get a nice design for something.

Thanks alot man! Yeah you really should, it's great fun. Also very fascinating how you can put so much depth and definition to a fairly simple model.

So today was SP day so I though I might as well put my contribution up here as well.
Not that satisfied, started over for like 4 times I think and I was pretty slow today as well.
Good that it looks like something at least. Will have to do more of these in the future not to mention other faces as well.

    A random doodle...

And of course moar work on this fella. I feel I'll have to loosen up a bit since the current design on arms and lower legs are somewhat boring.
I was also thinking of later add an overlay layer and add some ambient colors like make the shading blue or something and sharper highlights on the metal.

It's an EMO skull! It's right eye seems to be higher than the left but it's covered in hair so it's okay.

Well, it wasn't planned but the skull became a bit offseted from the jaw, so it's supposed to lean a bit. The issue I discovered was that the skull's supposed to be wider on the back.

The last portrait is stunning. I really am impressed teh way you are mastering brushes and especially colours. I kinda want to make that last portrait my background, so I guess thats a good sign!
The 3d model looks great as well, though if teh head is supposed too look like a skull, it needs more work.

    Cheers

Wow, thanks alot man! Been focusing mostly on getting my rendering right so it's good to hear the practice is paying off.

The head was meant to be a skull at start but then I decided to add flesh to it. Was it hard to read? In that case perhaps I should exaggerate the shading under the cheekbones a bit or something. Was thinking of making the area around the teeth in more fleshlike colors to get the feeling that he used to have lips.

Damn, seems like I somehow managed to miss I had replies. Sorry for being a bit slow.

Been busy with packing stuff since I'll be moving to a new place. Done some experimenting on the wings.
This is an old screenshot though. When I get back to it there will be new pics.

Been doing some pics in the meantime as well plus I am doing one for a friend's band whith the members portraited an slightly stylised. I'll show that one pretty soon I think.

    PEACE!

I like the gothic, skeleton winged creature. It has a nice tech element to it too. My only concern is it's balance so it might need longer feet to support it's extra weight from its wings while walking.

PigeonKill: The feet or rather the absence of feet is part of the design since I wanted it to have a supernatural feel about it.
However, I don't know if it's noticable but the leathery area around the knees consists of two joints so it actually have sort of chicken legs, which will be posed later on to imply weight and balance.

    Janos: Thanks man!

Okey, some randomness from last weekend.

Been working on this one for a while. By request for the band a friend of mine plays in. I was to make some sort of representative image of the members.
Progress been slow but it's coming together.
As you perhaps can see the face on the right end is still needs alot of fixing.
I'm open for ideas to take this image further. I was thinking of doing some post work with textures or something. Perhaps making it look like an old torn print.

Remembered I had this sketch lying around. I love the Saladfingers series and I thought it would be cool to make a realistic version of the main character.
    Thinking about zbrushing it.

Ain't got that much to show right now but I do it anyway.

This is a zbrush concept for a model I'm planning to start on pretty soon.

    Merry Christmas everyone!

Some speedies, some drawings. Excuse the bad quality on the photos.

Some 3D stuff should be up pretty soon.

Haven't seen you for a long time.
    Nice updates.
I like the witch, but her legs look a little long and skinny and stiff. Maybe get some refs and change that up.
The vector death is very nice. I approve!
And sketches ine here? Something really new but your pencil rendering is actually quite good, so do not hold back on them!

    See you.

    OH god, OH GOD
I just saw you had a picture of Salad fingers and now I am all depressed and scared. Thanks AimBiz.
Saladfingers creeps me out. He/she is the epitome of freak so I actually am not looking forward to a 3d model of him/her.
