    Colors richer in painter?

    Hi there guys

I just started to really get the feel of painter, but it seems like when I color a picture, when I open it up in another program, the colors are really dull.

I've tried copy-pasting my final picture into another program and it still does the same thing. Am I just crazy or is this a known issue?

This is a Color Management issue with Painter. Please see this thread on how to fix it http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=145357

I read over that help document, but it seems that it's just to keep colors consistent between photoshop and painter. Is there anything that works to keep them consistent between painter and any other programs?

Or do I need to get some copy of photoshop? :3

Most programs use Adobe's Profile. So you'd change it to match the Photoshop Settings.

I'm actually stuck on something in the .pdf's step and hopefully I'm not being dull by reading it incorrectly, but when it says in Painter's colour management to set Adobe RGB ( 1998 ), I don't have anything by that name and I can't find it. I did the steps in Photoshop fine enough but what's going on in Painter?

    Thanks again.

Ah, I fixed it today! I realized I'd hit the "optimize for printing" button, and after going back to default, my blacks are again blacks, and pinks are no longer peachy.
