To battle Melbourne's 41°C seems a tad ambitious and downright loony. Let's talk everyone into it .
I was thinking watercolours for Monday (dries quicker) but man, I'm still shit at it. I wouldn't want to give someone a heart attack, you know.
I think Ken will be with Tracy on Monday sharing trade secrets in briefcases.

Man we smashed a 4 hour drawing session yesterday... by the end of it I was just itching to go home and do some polished work.
Good turn out again this week! Good to see stormrider made it out as well as the now veteran dwardo, Lumar, Georgina and Robin.
Can't wait till the next one!

Yes, yes - I am indeed a veteran "Rawwwwwr."
(A slight sunburn are my first battle scars.)
If everyone can list out what their main goals during the sketch meets, it would be sweet for curious people like me.
-I need to learn how to do quick gestures
-I need to learn perspective
-I need to learn learn anatomy
-I'd like to do thumbnails of lighting conditions, but only after I've levelled the 3 above.
-keep an eye out for interesting costumes, postures, faces and hair. Facial expressions, a given!
- Stay away from donut shops on the fear of scoffing all of them down.
C U peeps at the next meet.

We'd love to see you there Kitty! the more the merrier!
Good idea ed;
1)Gesturals is the main excercise for me. Capturing the essence of a pose within a minute or so and from there I can take that gestural back home with me to flesh out and render.
2) I'm also at a stage where I'm rendering clothing with my characters, so soaking in all the fashions and building up my visual library so that I can draw from that catalogue when do imaginative sketches.
see you all sunday!

Sweet, another sketchbook to check out while I do my squiggly lines.
See you there Esz.
It looks to be a cool one on Sunday (probably showers) so an indoor type-a-thing.
-I'd love to work on some thumbnails of indoor lighting and stuff
-quick (not so squiggly) gestures
Sunday Sunday you cool bananas.

I think copy and paste all of dwardo's goals for me aswell their pretty much all my weak points, and colour but that would be too hard to work on at the sketchgroup so ill just tackle it digitally.
Also i want to get around to redoing my sketchbook for this site so you guys can check it out.

I'll try and hoof my way there Sunday (gnarled big toe) but I'll still be drawing outside somewhere. Open to the elements, like bird poo.
-Oh yea, I'll be working on colours too. Dodgy coloured water.
-Luke, moving already - uhmmm, I'll try my best to get my references and notes this Sunday.
You can do both man, I'm serious. By night you're a maniacal concept artist where you dump
all of the days intakes (visual/sound/stories etc.) into brilliant short stories, or illustrations
Your current field of work feels science fiction to me. Slow, calculating with spikes of emotions.
Sweeeet. I hope you can convert those days into illustrations/visuals.
-Hi slumberus, looking forward to your creative energy bro, even if it takes a year.
