Baba Yagas skull and bone mortar... Unfortunately she landed it on some innocent tasty kid...

Some info on the mortar and pestle, The pretty arm on the end of the pestle is used to lure unsuspecting children, the other fist end of it is to render them unconscious. Over time, the mortar developed arms, legs and even head parts of Baba Yaga's victims, trying to voice out their despair, the legs at the mortar's bottom even try to run or escape but to no avail.

Baba Yaga's house is living : it can walk, eat(look at its two tencacles sticking out from below) and it is home for many different creatures. Someone would say it's druidish, others would say it's undead. It's up to you to realize whom will you believe. I think it's a little bit of both, but one thing I know for sure, Baba Yaga's house is sanctuary for MANY different creatures.
NOTE: Two tentacles helps Baba Yaga(and other inhabitants) to get in. House can enroot itself to whistand wild winds or to get watter resources.

Some comments on this rounds, as usual:
Good to see the team-up with ChOW kind of worked Seeing some new faces in here, and some more entries too. Quality overall is good too, so I decided not to cut anyone this time.
I'll try to post the new round somewhere soon, but as it is I'm kind of exhausted. Also, I'll try and put up some crits in here later on

Yoisti got my vote as well. Those are freaky windows. Baba's looking great too.
Artofinca: Nice idea.
Tetrodotoxin: I cannot get over how much I love that kid's arm. Strange but true. I love it. However, It's not coming over as a mortar and pestle. I think part of the problem is that a skull is such a recognized icon, that using it stops the viewer from looking more closely as what it might be. Also, the skull itself required no design thought at all as it is a pre-existing object. I'm not saying that your image isn't great, because it is, but the design could have had more thought. (I know it can still be a bit painful to hear with so much time and effort put in.) I do like the tie in with the chicken's foot.
benu: I like the detailing around the outsides of the mortar. I thought the mortar and pestle were supposed to fly though?
dwinbotp: You would have gotten my next vote, if there was one. Just a passing comment, but was there meant to be a resemblance between the shapes in the windows and the ankh? Random, question. Very nice job.
Nate Shaw: You definitely could have worked on the rendering on yours. Neat idea but kind of lax in the details department.
siiilon: It's nice to see that not everyone went with the true chicken-legs concept. You probably could bump the saturation up a little.
timothee: Nice colour job, but isn't very creepy. I also have the same crit as I do for tetrodotoxin of lack of thought put into design. Nice image.
