Absolutely beautiful I really have no critique to give. Sorry
I love how the fabrics don't seem too detailed yet they carry the correct form and movement.

Wow, what amazing paintings. I really love the three piece painting of the girl on the previous page - splitting it up makes it even more interesting, I think . Also, I was lured into your sketchbook by your fantastic Lord of the Rings paintings - good choice .

    Really inspirational work .

Please drop by my sketchbook and help me improve!

Luc Thanks, yeah oils are getting more and more fun.
Eleyon At school we work on Oil paper, some kind of thick paper that's made for being painted on. At home I usually work on cheap canvas I give a coat of acrylics so it doesnt suck up all the paint.

A great sense of development through all this. Ive never tried studying the old master but i can really see the value in it now. Lovely work.

It is very refreshing to see someone doing oils with all the digital work around us. And awesome ones, too Thank you. Great sketchbook, a lot of hard work going on!

kasblue Thanks man, I paint almost exclusively with oil paint, most of the underground colors are applied with acrylics, but that's primarily because of the fast drying times.

Another Basil Gogos study, did the setup late last night and finished it just now.

The early part of this sketchbook seems like it was done by a different person, great show of improvement. Turning to traditional medium seems to have made a big difference in your skills.

I've been thinking of starting traditional painting to learn my colours. This is a good example of why I should.

    cheers.

fireblade Thanks, being able to look back and notice improvement is one of my main reasons I maintain this sketchbook. For me painting from life (digitally of traditionally) is what helped me a lot with colors.
    kasblue Glad to help.
