    Still inspiring!

Lovin da boids (I like doing those too) and the screen caps...sooo tasty!

This is a selection of the work I've been doing at school the past couple of months. All oils on oil paper.
Got a couple more but couldnt get those to photograph quite right, not enough light. So gonna try that again later.

The two first paintings are inspiring. The hand structure is fantastic.
The second one, with the bearded man is beautiful. His nose is to die for and the expression on his face, captured by your brush strokes, is so alive and real.

I was told Mussorgsky was a real drunk, hence, his nose is very red http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...gsky_Repin.jpg

MeteorCat I believe this painting was painted on his deathbed, and he died two weeks later.

    DragonL Thanks.

Think this is my first Artsy piece.
It's a fragmented version of William Bougeureau's "The Grape Picker".

This is so beautiful I posted it on one of my community forums to show - linking your website of course. Her face carries so much emotion, her arm and hand are handled so wonderfully and the fabric is gorgeous. Great work!

I really really dig the last one- I'm almost never the one to go for the more artsy stuff, but what you did is a really cool take.

MeteorCat Oh no, that's perfectly fine. I'm quite flattered actually.

Dont think I ever uploaded this one, just found it lying around somewhere in my room. Think this was a Velazquez study, not sure.

The_Flying_Dutchman Thanks, it's a study of a painting done by George Bellows.

Started a new one today, it's going to be a 3 piece study of an Ilya Repin painting. This is what I did so far, the frame is 20x20 cm. So this face is like... 4-5cm wide.

This stuff is off the chain, man, especially your digital screencap studies! Just went through your whole SB, and your progress is awesome. Now I just want to see more of your studies and hard work applied to imaginative work!
