Its' free and it takes less than 10 seconds!
I have a phone interview with a studio in the coming weeks and I just wanted to get some opinions about Quebec City (where they are located). My french is pretty terrible, not even conversational but I can read a little and pronounce it ok. I've been to Montreal, is it anything like that?

Entirely different, much less people in Quebec City speak english. However we have ppl at work who don't speak french (yet) and they seem to be getting along. Quebec City is less cosmopolitan, with less bars and clubs. However the ppl there are friendlier and the cost of living is lower. May I ask what studio?
I vacationed there recently and it was a great place. During my time there, everybody I met (bar one) spoke English extremely well whenever they discovered I and my family were American (all it took was a "hello..." and they changed gears immediately).
I agree it didn't seem really cosmopolitan, but it was accessible and there's a lot to do besides. I would not have minded staying longer and settling in a bit more.. I'm afraid as it is I can't give much more than a tourist's perspective.
Maple Sugar IceCream in the Old town. Ahh memories.
Thanks for the information everyone. It's helped me get a better idea of what to expect.
Visit the old town for history and cobblestones. The only fortified city in North America! I've lived in Montreal and been to Quebec city only once so I can't really help with my experience but from what I know Montreal is really a party town compared to most other cities and Quebec is more of a historic spot.
Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die.
It's been years since i've been, but it was a nice place. People were a lot nicer then my hometown

I thought I would update this thread with some news. I got a fulltime position I interviewed for as a Concept Artist at Beenox Inc in Quebec! I'm very excited about it as this has been a long road to get here. I started teaching myself almost 6 years ago and I still have a lot more to learn. But for those that are discouraged, keep focused on your goal, surround yourself with positive people and most important. Don't Give Up.
Congratulations, time to update that signature!
