It's ruined anyways, the only thing that i like about it is how the sun went out.
Anyhoot it's just a speedo that i instantly deleted after uploading here.

Here's some face studies, done late at night i've started at 00:23
(I know that the far top face has some eye problems but it was drawn last and i was pretty tired so i didnt give it that much attention)

EDIT: Some more Updates, quick scriblles, alittle longer one and my first try at proper charcoal drawing.

pushing you are, surrendering you are not, happy to see I am.

I would suggest to learn the human form proportions, that's exactly what I'm doing right now after that you will make 60 second poses look more believable.

the reason I don't do 60s poses yet is because I will get discouraged from the ugliness and wont have the motivation to proceed

Hehe, hitting me back with Yoda stuff! Supreme you are ;>

Human body truly is a magnificent and difficult form, and i admit that i'm
a weakling when it comes to anatomy knowledge, therefore i'll become it's
slave until i will be able to do it right o/

P.S those are a mix of 30 and 45 sec poses, i find myself too focused on details thus i don't do 60 sec ones.

Quick sketch, this was not a color study so i shamelessly used color picker, oh well it's 1:08 at night, excuse me.

Edit: Super quick sketch of my buddy's girlfriend.

Hey the desert elf comes along great!!
    The face close up rocks.

Perhaps there is something a bit off with his legs? I'm not sure but it appears to me ... I thought that perhaps they might be a bit to short (at least from the knee to the knuckles) ?

Hope you find the passion for the elf again and finish him

no problem man my pleasure but seriously you got that skull so well done I thought it was a photo at first and when I saw the close ups I was like WOW, dude you got crazy talent with tons of practice you will pro in no time and by the age of 25 or something you will probably be able to afford anything you like if you work hard enough to get it.

I don't know what to say... Maybe i love you Danny! ( ya know that brother like type of love, just to clarify ;P )

Now i have to dissapoint you abit, the skull was done with a help of few textures and custom brushes, I did see many masters using textures to aid themselves and save some time with it, its a good way to quickly enhance your piece. ( Ofcourse you have to paint over almost everytime, for it to be truly your work not just pasted texture)

Ok ladies and gents! It's almost finished i'll probably do some final touches before i'll color it.

    Hello boys and girls !

Today's updates are: one still life sketch, and a self portrait drawn from a mirror reflection, that i started in painter, but since i don't know it yet i finished it up in photoshop. It's not 100% exacly how i look like, I've enhanced the facial hair abit ;] So consider me looking like that after not shaving for a month or even more!

    Enjoy.

Holy cow, I'd love to know how you painted that water on page 1, that's hyper realistic for a speed paint, especially the blues and clouds.

It's very simple, first you lay in some colours and then throw in a texture, each situation requires different blending mode for desired effect, sometimes multiply sometimes overlay, etc.
Back then i didn't know alot tho, it's wise and rather good taste to paint over textures , to make them actually your work' not only overlayed texture.

Quick conceptual sketch of a scarecrow mob.

Argh it's so freakin' cold and windy, i think i'm going to be sick again.

Today I sat down and thought I'll give my imagination a test, and here's the effect. (shot on the exact same shitty camera as those last 2 above, And forgot to load batteries ><) I did not use any refference for this one, what you see here is 100% brainfart.

There's alot things not even vsible on this photo, i'll shot a better quality one when i load my better camera.

He looks indian thats cool, I would suggest to change your shading method, it seems like his face is metallic try to make less reflections and just think in contrast, when something is Dark whatever is next to it will be way more brighter and the the other way around, that way you be needing all these side reflections to bring out form.

Hmm now as you mentioned it he certainly looks indian.
As for the shading, i won't change it i just need to improve it ;]
I was aiming for the effect that guys at Watts Atelier achieve, and this was an experiment, I was trying to get to know how they do it and with what tools.
So it's abit of everything in here: natural charcoal, 2B, F and Conte pencils.

Now i know that Watts suggest Conte 1710B and 2B, i went to 2 artist stores and didn't find any of those :/

I truly love Watts drawing style but the fact that his atelier is located in the US and A makes it almost impossible for me to attend to. If I would live
in U.S <wakes up in the reality> ehhh.

P.S They draw like this: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...6&d=1254893717

    EDIT:

Ok I've found some Conte products and have ordered them online, now i just have to wait for the package.

Cool colours, and the use of textures in that samurai speedpaint is really good. Work on anatomy and proportions, trying to understand the structure of things when doing a study. Keep up the good work!

A little bit of fun in ps today: Bananna lust!
This was painted for a speedpainting contest, but I already passed the time limit by 10 minutes.
So i din't have time to fix some stuff
(perspective may be off, as i have very limited knowledge about it, will work on it one day)

yeah man, this is great! I love the colors and the lighting effects you did between the buildings it kicks hamsters butt!
the man is totally out of proportion which kinda ruins it but thats the only major thing I would fix, and also looks like he is pointing to a different direction then the Kings. good job overall!
