    Great updates, Icecold.

I really like the Syria landscape. At a brief glance, it looks real, but the longer you stare at it, the more you can see some stylization, like in the clouds. Very nice.

    Hey Paul!

Great stuff again! That black and white Batman looks good, it feels well you know? There's this typical batman-feeling. Don't know how to explain right now.

And that Base Jumper thing is good, I know how hard it is to pull something like that out of your mind. For me personally its really hard to keep at one special image in my head because everything changes very very fast. Did a 5 strip comic-alike thing for school some weeks ago and it didn't turn out good

Anyway I hope you're well and healthy and everything's moving forward as always!

Take care and keep it rollin'

    bish0p2004 Thank you!

Charmer Flo my man! yeha it is ahrd fortunately i did watch a base jumper action a day back so i had some images still in my head, altho it was troublesome i dount neglect that.

Okay so here's some ink-pen sketches which I think are shitty as i had a really shitty morning that day. Nevertheless I forced myself and did them anyway, then grabbed a pencil right away and did some more. Kinda happy with the female head but not so much with the rest.

Hey man sorry I haven't dropped you a line in a while, but I've definitely been keeping an eye on your SB.
I hope you realize just how much you are rocking right now! You just had a huge growth spurt, IMO.
Maybe its the change in diet? I actually had gluten allergies as a child, thankfully your allergies do
change / go away over the years, but I certainly still remember eating a lot of funky health foods.

Your latest paintings have been superb...color and value look spot-on and full of punch, and you've got
them blocked in such confidence and simplicity. The next step I would suggest is to start thinking about
different blending of edges like crisp, firm, soft, lost etc. As always, too, never rush yourself.

Line drawings are looking superb as always, still really heavy on the outlines, but its not too flat, I'm getting
a good sense of form, well done. I would like to see more doodles / imagination work sprinkled in with your
    studies (yes I know, I'm a hypocrite )

Your rate of work is also very inspirational.

Stay positive, stay relentless, man you're doing great!

As to money, don't worry, shortly people will realize that our debt is ridiculous and the dollar will be worth
shit, especially if we keep printing them like there's no tomorrow. (I actually DO care about politics but its
just too depressing right now, starting to realize our two-party system is just broken)

Have you ever considered trying to get some freelance work over the internet that would pay you in dollars?
Just saying, if you are going to need them eventually anyway, might be worth a try.

sketchbook...a kitten dies every time you don't comment

“When forced to work within a strict framework,
the imagination is taxed to its utmost – and will
produce its richest ideas. Given total freedom,
the work is likely to sprawl.”

What a seriously fantastic SB. I think your shitty ink pen sketches are great, but im a nub so anything you do will probably look like gold

Nonetheless the skull on the left in the recent post has off proportions Like it had a stroke on its left hand side. Still fantastic stuff page 1 to page 42.

That batman b&w really caught my eye. Not only the contrast but the pose and composition, simple but powerful.

I'm amazed at how much detail you're able to get into your black and white studies. How long do these normally take you? Keep up the great work!

Will reply to you all tomorrow, promise!

I never had so many shitty periods, so often in a considerably short amount of time as i have now.
But there's one thing i've learned over the years, after bad times come good times ( well atleast most of the time ) So is this an announcement of a leap in progress? maybe or may be not, time will tell.

Few sketchbook pages, feet page as a warmup ( the bigger ones are my own drawn with a help of a mirror), unfinished man as a follow up and some sketches from imagination which reminded me how much i suck at drawing hands. Got to focus on them soon and do tons of studies! Last but not least eh weak digital speedpainting of some sort of a weird forest. and an nazi dude in sweatshirt also from imagination.

    Mr.Ebony Gracias amigo!

Antgirl Thanks, well it's the magic of ink i guess, to show so much by so little.

Little-Maiden Thank you, and yes that's very possible, that's why i try to work with non erasable media to get better at making decisions on paper.

    Subed Thanks, ciao!

BludHund Aah glad you're back! Your comment is gold, as always. Well since the EU union helped ou Greece by another huge money shot the euro zone is stabilizing and pushing the US dollar down, it's not great yet but it went from 3,50 to 3,06 as for today and dropping daily!

Oh and i took your advice and tried to do some more irregular point of view stuff lately, not so much but always

Some digital ink experiments, all from imagination, well maybe excluding the almighty Slash which I pulled out of memory.

2 gestures, 1 semi quick pose and something tad longer. ( Aye seem to be cropped in a weird way but my scanner has a smaller active space than the old one, unfortunately ... )

continue Thanks mate, that's correct! I've recently bought his book! Awesome material. Great teacher.

Here's a concept i had started a long time ago and it was buried somewhere on my HD, so i finally finished it. Inspired by Hughes and Marko at that time i think.

Hey Icy my man what's up dude?!
Haven't heard of you for weeks!

Your imagination stuff rocks! Good to see you doing lots of anatomy stuff aswell.
Maybe it would really help to paint with acrylics. I will move in 10 days to the city I study at so... I'm gonna make my room as far as possible some steps in the direction of "artist's paradise", hahaha. Getting some Acrylics and stuff and finally a drawing table with angles, sometimes when I draw I want to draw more (time) but my back starts to hurt, hopefully that will work.

Anyway keep it up and push your limit moooooar! I'd love to see more going on here

    Greets from germany my friend,
    Flo

Hey Flo sorry about that dead silence, but my mind was "elsewehere" last weeks, Everything's ok altho i feel like i know less and less nowdays, weird feeling.
I've tried acrylics in the past, but i feel like it's not kind of medium, altho i will pick up gouche to paint traditionally anyway, for the sake of doing it at Watts when i hit the place.

Gone even more red hair than she really is but oh well.
I've started this in painter but soon found myself wanting to bash my head against a wall, so it ended up in photoshop. I will try to learn painter, but this requires patience, a lot of patience...

    ezekrialase Thank you!

    zathraya Gracias!

Danny_K Well i did waste alot of time while iw as studying 3d animation, but one thing i'v learned during that time, better color choices!
As for the god/church part of your post, sorry but no. Let's just say i don't like the institution, so please abandon your hopes on recruiting me

So yet another they passes while i'm trying to learn corel painter, it's very hard and mentally exhausting after all those years in photoshop, but i will not surrender. 75% of this was done in painter, the facial features and polishing was done in photoshop.

If anyone here is good with painter please give me some advices on how to set up brushes for illustration like workflow, you know that pjotoshop round brush feel. I've played with some airbrushes they work similiar but not as i would like them too. Some general tips would be cool too, as i often get some weird saturation difference and some weird textures, sometimes brushes do happen to not paint at all, it's very....disturbing to say it gently.

EDIT: I could swear that these images had more saturation until uploaded to web

Well it's probably more of a skintone study as the photo was cropped too much to call it a proper "feet" study.
