Aww i'm walking with my head in clouds, i left my sketches at the workshop again ! how lame, no worries tho i'll get them back on monday.
About the art course i didnt do much yet some vine charcoal uglies, but i've heard alot of theory especially about the construction.
Today however I was working on my first traditional painting ever, still life in acrylics, will be finished next week since my courses are once per week on saturday.

I'll try to create something in ps meanwhile, but i have some stuff going on which keeps me kinda busy for now, so no juicy updates today :/

Ah and don't get me wrong but the lady in red is totally meant to be like that, suing only 2 colours, mainly alot of values of red, it's my artiostic vision and you have to accept that
It's not a concept nor illustration, pure art rage muaha! ;>

P.S I don't play aion nor wow anymore since like what, hmm 4 months now? S no worries ICe is art oriented ^^ stay tuned for the update on monday! Thanks for coming everyone.

Hey folks, sorry for keep you waiting for so long, but i cought the nasty flu which also drains my will to create ;[

As promised here are those remaining stuff, most of them is dated for as "few weeks ago" cant remmember exact dates, pardon.

My first pure charcoal drawing, it suffered in quality by transport, oh well. Whoops where did that dude in the top right corner come from!? And his hair is a light reflector grr...
( working with it was a nightmare at first, i had no idea how to use it properly, but my sensei told me few things and that's how it came out)

Veery old stuff, 1st attempts at construction:

I've bought some tutorials online, including Whit Brachna's ones, but i think i'll focus on traditional media, as the Academy of Fine Arts spits on tablet made stuff haha! And i have like 7 months left, it's not alot....

Great art my friend! good to see you back recover quickly please OK?
The shiny Butt cracked me up LOL, what can I say, the charcoal is not an easy medium to use as well as not very precise, nevertheless it is has it's cool tricks like smudges with finger and it lets you express yourself in different ways which is awesome.
The Guitar looks good I like it or is it a Violin?
Figure studies getting better and better, I am sketching figures every day now myself and you can feel improvement from day to day that's awesome.
draw about 1000 figures and you will sketch a figure with a single line stroke LOL.

    cheers man

You should put more weight to whatever is closer to the viewer ( more weight = Darker Less weight = Lighter) its a method to emphasize something when you want something to pop without changing the colors. the banana should have more weight then the celery in the background and for some reason the apple and the little veggie near it is really emphasized while the pumpkin looks a bit dull, flat and as if it's deflated, I would suggest adding more darker to the pumpkin and the banana, I know thats not how it looks like in real life but sometimes you must make the drawing different and not exactly copy in order for a painting to look good in the viewers eyes.
I go eat banana now yummm.
Oh get well soon my friend

    Shineee!! Tehehe

Really nice seeing some of your old work, and i think that boot study is really really nice, and as unfinished as it is, it looks pretty finished in its own, clean, detailed way

Now get back to work and post your recent work

Girls - the best motivation muehhe

So I had another art crysis, i'm recovering tho.
These are definitely not anygood, but during
such crysis it is improtant to still draw,
    Here is my crap:

And a speedie, The Almighty Thor himself, he was one of my favourite heros when i was a kid
( By the way you can check out a viking metal song, Twilight of the Thunder God by Amon Amarth, it's about Thor )

Icecold's sketch book, Why so Serious!?

Well i found an awesome sketchbook, that truly is a motivation, a story of a CA member, who started as a total beginner and is a total pro now
venture it out from page 1 right to the last one and after that, go draw!

Yes, yes, i find that sketch book to be inspiring too!! And it is not necessarily that drawing when you are like that is a good thing..it may be true, but on the other side you can get really depressed and not draw at all for quite a while..

    the later one was my case at one moment;
but now i am a happy greedy little person that just can't have enough of drawing

take care of yourself and i personally think it is a nice update
really nice flow in the strokes, even if you don't agree with me ;p

Sooooo whats my bud been up to lately hmmm? he's kicking some ass do you mind?! dude the sketches are not that bad at all there is a nice flow in them, and thor looks good!! I especially like your colors on that one, the legs are too big though
It's funny how you mantion an art crisis because Ba-Bang! same shitty thing here, I was filling my sketchbook with such garbage I am too embarrassed to upload! but thank mighty it has passed and I'm all fired up now!!
MindCandy's thread is an inspiration indeed, even Jason manley mentioned him in one of the Class streamings few months ago about how he got better and how he helped him out in his growth, he said that when Massive black was starting out and concept art was in it's diapers this guy learned to draw a sphere
Ok enough chit chat back to drawing
    cheers!@

Mhm, maybe you guys are right, maybe it's not such bad afterall.
Well it's common that artists are rarely satisfied with their work,
oh well guess I'll just keep drawing.

Here are few studies from yesterday, tried a different aproach, using lines only, no smudging. The tea cup is abit off i know, but i got such bored with it that i couldn pay enough attention, seriously no tea cups ever agqain! What i need is flesh to draw, a lifedrawing session!
