    Big Orange's Portfolio

OK, I'm starting a portfolio to keep my stuff in one place and not spread them too thinly in the Critique Center. Plus I'm also posting stuff I initially posted in the Critique Center which are better off here anyway, so no harm done.

    Here are my recent sketches:

Those life drawings looked good. Don't stop drawing them.
And the other thing you should start to draw is gestures as I see that you like to draw characters. I thought gestures were boring and stuff but then I joined in Spartan Camp and now I almost like it.

I think you could make images a bit smaller in the future. (maybe around 600px tall). Bigger isn't always better. Also try doing some life-study drawing people, preferably from real life, but even photo references works. Keep in mind to draw what you see, not what you know. It's the best way too learn.

When drawing figures from the mind it's helpful to break them down to simple geometric forms such as spheres, cubes, cones and cylinders. There are a bunch of helpful tutorials online (even here on ConceptArt.org), that can help you with proportions and foreshortening if you look around a bit.

Practice makes perfect, just keep drawing!

You might want to go to Posemaniacs and do some 30, 60 or 90-second poses

    Keep the posts up!

Ilike this drawings, but the best are when you draw buildings and houses ( a kind of abstract subjet ), really like the different characters, keep those pencils working
