The "Yellow Wood" and the poem are leftovers from Eow 104, Two Roads
Great topic btw! All the possibilities, so little time...

If it is worth doing, it is worth doing well.

Chaos, just wanted to enlighten the folks who had asked, realize now it could have been read as nagging. Sorry if it did

I'm in. I'm no good with computer graphics, but I'm pretty fair at freehand. I'm an architecture student after all.

I've started to work on this topic, although I'm not sure to finish it on time.

Anyway, I'd like to share with you David Arkenstone's album "Atlantis". It's some ambient/new age style. I find the music very graphic, it makes images pop up in my head. I recommend last song, "Below the ocean-spirit of atlantis".

    Here are some samples:

    http://www.artistdirect.com/nad/stor...021619,00.html

And lastly, here are my sketches. Feel free to comment the major flaws you might see, actually the enviros are the work I'm having most trouble with.

    Thanks,
    Abrodos

darknight just saw your quote,,,, you do realize that it is polonius in hamlet that says this andhe's being an old fool at the the time. Shakespeare didn't mean it to be taken seriously as advice.

    This city is haunting me....
Seriously; Atlantis was my subject for the Steampunk Myths&Legends, but i didn´t make it in time.... which frustrated me. And now, HERE!

But not this time!! I took my revenge on this topic.... here´s my Atlantis! FINISHED, MUHAHAH!!

Cooked up a WIP based on a theory that Atlantis was actually Antarctica. Very new to digital painting, so crits would be welcome.... need to get something going in the foreground I think. Anyway, yay for my first EOW

Well, I doubt I will go with those sketches I want to create work with large space and frog/bird perspective. For concept, it may be, for example, a Atlantis moving on a big crab (a mobile town) or Atlantlis buildings placed on inner wall of large sphere (it could be a air bubble) - something similar to space ship using rotational force to simulate a gravity. In the sphere centre there would be a palace or statue.

EDIT: Forgot, I found a nice site about Atlantis.

UnidColor, are you by chance using sampled brushes for painting flora? If yes, would you mind sharing them? Looks they have potential if used by skilled hand!

    "Atlantis" final version

Hi, this is my first attempt in EoW

    The idea for the picture:
In spite of fact that the island of Atlanta sunk deep down into the ocean civilisation somehow survived and they started to built a new, better city.

I hope this is the final thread, or do I need to post it somewhere else?
