Psychotrope's Sketchtacular- Now with Sci-fi Pinocchio!
Since I've been chilling out on these boards for a bit, I figured I'd try my hand at a sketchbook. I don't really think I should be posting my stuff up with the kind of things I have the privilege of posting on every day, but with your input, I hope I can reach that kind of level .
I'm currently futzing with a number of styles and new techniques. I've mostly dealt with classic arts in the past- taking art 1-4 and AP in high school, but now I'm in college for Industrial Design and I have a big, shiny new computer with all these programs I might as well try. I'm also working on a comic I want to try and get published online around April. It's a departure from my ordinary style, so if you see me suddenly flop from one to another, that's why. Oh, and for the record, I just turned 19 and live in North Carolina (though I'm from Britain originally)
Alright, let's do this:

Alright, update: Inks on the crazy creature-doodle, as well as a pen drawing I did while watching Donnie Darko the other night.
They need some colors, imho

Because I'm a horrible person who loves the style of Mike Mignola -so- much, I did a quick ink sketch in his style.
Nothing fancy, but eh'. Hellboy's too cool to pass up.
Own character, though.

Great stuff man! The cat is my favorit. You'll need to improve your perspective techniques a bi (the first robot) but they'll tell you all about at at the school for industrial design. Keep going!

Two new pictures for my book:
Sketches for a character of a zombie game a few friends and myself are putting together.
And a gargoyle in a gas mask. Because I could. Simple ink and color on PS.

Cool robots, the cat one is really well executed, but I also like the zippery faced one. Your monsters seem to turn out pretty well, but perhaps practice drawing people more. The arm proportions tend to be a little off. Also, I like the inking job on the two monsters up top. As much of a fan as I am of Mignola's style, you didn't get quite as satisfying a job done with it. Now you should post some more!

I've been doing a lot more "sketching" than art, which, I guess is rather the point of this thread. So here we go, without further adieu:
