First of all I must say I'm impressed at your skill to achieve so much richness and depth without colour. Your style is very nice and unique. Are these works done completely in pencil?
My favourites are the First, second, third and teh man falling in the sky. On the last one it is clear that you (like me) have not mastered human anatomy completely. The head seems too large and the body somehow wrong in regards to the perspective. Also, if the house behind him is burning and its the only light source, shouldn't there be stronger shadows in his face?

Thank you for the compliments. And you're right, I have a lot of work to do with anatomy and perspective. Once my paper comes in the mail I'll make a zombie book just for studying anatomy in paticular.
The house is not actually on fire. This image is inspired by Lovecraft's Crawling Chaos. It's really supposed to be a giant black wave.
Oh yeah, these are all done in charcoal on printmaking paper - Arches Cover. I dust the page with powdered charcoal, then use vine charcoal to sketch, erasers to lighten, and render everything out using charcoal pencils. Highlights and detail are added with white charcoal pencil.

Ok the thing about using reference is that it doesn't do a whole lot of good when you don't know what you're looking at.

Where do you get your ideas and inspiration from? Does this stuff come right from your head, do you start drawing and see what comes up? Or do you get it from outside sources like movies or books? By the way it's amazing!

most of these images are just from imagination, some of them are inspired from short stories by Lovecraft. Thank you for the compliment!
