Hey there! Caleb here, here are some of my doodles. Traditional pen and ink (as opposed to pen and spaghetti sauce), and other junk. I'll try and update often. Thanks!

Thank you! Check this out, I visited Ohio a while back (some fam) in Amish country, and saw just that, an Amish dude on a horse drawn buggy with a cell phone pressed up against his ear. He saw us looking at him with grins on our 'english' faces, and gave us this 'you saw NOTHING' look. If I had my camera with me... -for those who don't know, tech is strictly taboo for them Amish, cool as they are-
This first one is a storyboard sample I did about a year ago for an anti RFID hacking commercial.
---------
This one is just me screwin' around.

Sketchbooooook! *waves fist*
I really love the first piece, but all of your stuff has a wonderful, loose feel to it. It all really flows and is quite organic. Well done!
Thanks man! (sketchboooooook lol)

Yeah, I love the ink stuff. The hand studies are really good. And the ship in ink? I love that!
Can't wait to see more.
Keep 'em coming!![]()
Here are some older storyboards done 2006. I drew them out on paper using charcoal and then touched them up in Photoshop. It was an exciting project to be a part of, these archeologists believed they had found the location of real Ark of the Covenant, and wanted to start a series to raise funds. I drove my car out to this isolated view point on a dirt road in the mountains of Colorado to sketch this storyboard out in peace. As I'm sketching, this cop car somehow happens to find it's way up to where I was parked, and pulls right up behind me. The place was so isolated that I got out of my car and walked up to the cop to see what was going on. "What's up?" I asked, "Get BACK in your vehicle driver" says officer Lame-o, so I got back in my car and waited 5 years as he did his 2005 taxes or whatever. Finally he gets out of his pimped out ride and walks up to me, asks to see if my papers are in order, I hand him all the stuff and he says "did you know that you're on private property?" I said "no sir, there are no clearly posted signs" he replied "uh huh, and am I going to find anything out you wanna tell me about?", "uh, I don't think so" I said. He go's back to his ticket dispenser on wheels and I'm thinking "yeah I'm dead". You see, my plates were a little expired, only over 2 YEARS (it's a long story) (heh, 2 years long in fact). Naturally, he freaked out, and so did I. "So let me get this straight" he says "you're trespassing, you have a Florida driver's license, Colorado plates, and Nebraska insurance. Also you have a warrant for ARREST in Florida??!!??!?", "WHAT!" I said "I didn't know I had a WARRANT!" Then he says "I noticed you smudged some OIL on your plate's TAGS!" I replied "oh that.. uh", to make matters more interesting, his sharp eagle eyes noticed where I had taken a leak minutes before he arrived (and made a rather nice wavy line leading up to my tire), he asked "and did you URINATE HERE?" I nervously said "I thought I saw some critter scurry off in that direction" he said "uh huh, public urination, trespassing, expired tags, altered plates, a warrant.." I said "public urination!? I thought you said this was private property!?" he ignored that and asked "do you have a weapon in the vehicle too?" "well" I said "I have a small handgun under the passenger seat" he went nuclear and started to back up slowly while grabbing his gun "WHAT, YOU HAVE WEAPON TOO AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ME!!??" Fortunately his superior showed up and got things calmed down, but screamed at the officer privately in his superior-mobile for about 20 minutes for some odd reason. The whole time I kept repeating "I just wanted to draw!" Well, they grounded my car for about 3 or 4 months while I jumped through all their hoops. Oh, and the warrant? A ticket I forgot for having a broken tail light.
Anyway here are the boards:
---------
This was done for the same company. It was done on a dry erase board at their facilities and colored later in PS.
---------
An idea for a children's book my friend was writing.
--------
And a little pen and ink sketch yesterday morning (I was thinking about work).

I'll have some new stuff here pretty quick. Sorry for the delay!
Impressive line work! Love the portrait and the Amish dude with the phones, hilarious xD Your piece with the boat rowers cracked me up too.
ok, about time for an update!
This one looked cool upside down...
I have talked to this guy a few times. He just just lounges around walking his dog. He ALWAYS turns his collars up, and has no idea that he is posted in an art forum.

I love your loose sketches, they're a lot of fun. : )
Thanks Spotfrog, I saw one of your pics, and it was fantastic, love to see more! Also I've noticed that your critique method is very good, truthful, the kind I'd like to get if someone took the fancy.![]()
Seems like Rod Serling's just out of the frame, smoking a cigarette.

I'll put a dragon in it or something, maybe like a flying thing of sorts, or a tasty chicken roasting in an oven the size of a planet.

Check this pic out, it's only 2 pixels big! -----> .
two quickpaints, one is a game concept for a friend, the other (b&w) was done using this cool gadget: http://www.onemotion.com/flash/sketch-paint/

People are commenting like mad! And ratings are out of control!! If I were a convict this is where I'd hide. (shameless way to bump the thread)

Hey, your storyboards are pretty nice, and some of your things are really funny
do you intend to do some real studies? like copying thousands of naked girlies? or drawing perspectives until your eyes bleed? that s a suggestion![]()
Newborn Triton for the Newborn contest (not even close to a winner) good practice though! nutts. balls.
