FootstepsBeckon: Give me another star toolbag >:o

JakeSparrow: Thanks man, I love enviros the most, I have a lot of improving to do! Yeah it's tough, most times it's easiest for me to hop into Maya and slam the architecture out as a guide for Photoshop.

    Hi Caleb,
I've also been re-discovering my old old drawings and ideas of old.
I'm trying to decipher what it was that made my doodling so free and easy. Current mission is to discover that. It'll be good to re-tap into that child creative I once was.

Nice cowboy pencil. Has a cool texture to it.

AztcFireFlower: Thank you for the compliment, coming from you it means quite a lot!!
I know what you mean about those old creative gems, I've even attempted to 'update' a couple of them, only to abandon the effort when that something special seems to become lost with every new layer. I think part of it was the innocence, and when we discover what's over the next hill so to speak as we grow, we begin to assume every hill holds the same secret, and every revelation as humdrum as the last. So for me, the quest for innocence entails discovering things I've never known or even suspected. And I must say, that has certainly helped to breath new life into an almost dowsed ember! These days I'm constantly shocked at my arrogance; to think I ever believed I had any kind of a grasp on the infinite wonders I'm immersed in!

    Old nude sketches

Well I'll be.. I thought I lost these! These were done in a life drawing class back around 2003-ish. They're pretty sloppy, but we only had 1 or 2 minutes per pose, so go easy on me!

dusting off a jar of inpiration

A couple quickies, 10-15 minutes a piece. It's the first time I've been inspired in a while, so I jumped in and had fun The ocean sketch is loosely based on a photo I saw on the googles.
