    Love the updates man! They all look good to me Like the colours with the asian girl and the custom brushes and textures are working really well with your enviros, I particularly like the cave one. Keep it going dude

    The city scape painting looks pretty sweet.

    http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g1...ynthiaaaaa.jpg

    I like this anime design. My only suggestion is to perhaps add pattern or lace to break up the gray.

    Danny Choo I love that site I haven't been there in ages. When is the deadline for that contest O_o it started a month ago though.

    Make a sketchbook happy, feed it a tip to improve!

    @Eddiee: Thanks! I still think my city works still lacking (lack of definition and focus point). :0
    @mike butkus: Thanks! I really appreciate that coming from you.
    @miycko: Cool thanks bro.
    @Alex Tooth: Haha I still need to brush up my fundamentals. ;P Thanksies!
    @PigeonKill: Thanks for the suggestion. Will sure do something to break up the gray. o_O Also the deadline for the mascot contest is February 7. Better hurry up if you want to join!

    Pretty occupied with daily tasks (driving license test, filing up scholarships form, sorting up my room, etc etc) so didn't get to practice much.

    Here's a not so final lineart of a new piece done for Danny Choo Otacool2 mascot contest. Wanted to portray a dynamic feel but I guess I fail at that.

    to get the perspective just right on those rollerblade wheels, you might try blocking them in as a rectangles and then plotting ellipses on the sides of those rectangles. might help with what is no doubt crazy confusing !

    that portrait at the end of page 7 is aaaawesome. great job on that one.

    @Giorge: Haha you noticed it eh.

    @sourgasm: Thanks for the tips. Too bad I already done with that piece. :o

    So my internship application with Lucasfilm Singapore got rejected (oh noez 2 more months and I set a new record of being jobless for a year) and currently focusing on Danny Choo's mascot contest. Deadline is on Sunday and well after that will be Chinese New Year festive. Need to brusssh up my skills and portfolio.

    I still find it amusing that Lucasfilm Jobs sent me email about my status on the internship application "May the Force...well...you know"

    A collection of dump of my mascot design for DC mascot contest. The first pic is the final work (not the best background I've drawn):

    Will be heading out later for my computer test on road law. Forgot to save out a few stuff I did with Painter 11 Trial.

    More dump. Mix of Painter and Photoshop stuff. Gosh my eyes must have gone awkward with all the mistakes I noticed after sketching it out. x_x Time to sleep.

    @AlexTooth: Thanks bro! Anime style can be really subjective but for whatever reason it starting to creep into the global market at a fast pace. ;P
    @DHTenshi: Thank you! I use the smudge tool a lot for the cloud study.

    Hmm I will be away till next Tuesday to celebrate Chinese New Year at my dad's hometown. Not sure if I want to lug my tablet with me as there is no space for me to put the tablet and lappy together. o_O

    Also started my first out of 50 studies of Leyendecker work. Its darn hard to replicate his "creamy" stroke digitally

    @longwrat: Thanks for the comment! Haha my quick stuff is consider lazy man work-- Also nearly forgot to wish you Gong Xi Fa Cai!
    @mc2mc2: Yo bro Gong Xi Fa Cai! After Photoshop crash that night, I finish it in Paint Tool SAI with the Acrylic brush. I set the Blending to a higher value to emulate Leyendecker creamy strokes.

    Another Leyendecker study.That makes it 2 out of 50 studies.

    @Cyprinus: Thanksies!

    My latest study on Leyendecker works.

    I wanted to try finish this study in Painter 11 but the uber slow panning puts me off a lot. So I revert back to Paint Tool SAI and finish it from there.

    I'm still amazed with Leyendecker economy of strokes... need to do more study.

    Oh wow long time no update-- Started my mini project and explore 50 designs for it. Need to get back to practice mode. Oh the Leyendecker study get screw up due to low res reference. Will do studies from high res and clear picture next time...
