    when i first started to figure out graphite..

    pen ( the earlier posts) came later.. i love both.. i don't blend. hope to never blend! most of these i was psyched about at the time - some still - but mostly: not. usually I like a thing I've done for about.. oh.. an hour!

    All of your drawings are great! Your cross hatching is great. I'm especially inspired by your drawing of Jack Nicholson, its spot on perfect Keep it up I want to see more

    some new things - ballpoint and a bit of conte and charcoal..

    trying this again.. images were HUGE first time 'round! ugh. working on getting more structure and sweep in my figures - not there yet.. ballpoint - practice with the 49 cent pentel fine pen (my fave though it gunks like a moFo!).. some conte life studies form school last semester .. your comments - good/bad/whatnot welcome and much appreciated!

    a few new quick figures from life

    all 5-10 minutes.. working on feet and hands more.. next is getting into key form shapes at a more distinct level.. last one is heightened a bit w/white.. and that's 20 mins w/work when i got home.. any thoughts always welcome!

    Dear lord, your sense of detail is spot on. I'm struggling in vain to see any glaring issues in these life drawings. They're so natural and fluid! I also adore how you build up your tones.
