Quite an interesting composition, your last work. It is a traditional too.
I think a bit more work on the colour scheme would really help the mood.

This is great. I love how you can draw in actual mediums AND digital, not to mention very well.
The only thing that kinda weirds me out is the second post. In that one point perspective drawing, I feel like the devil's face on the left side of the image should be in three quarters view?
^^^ oh wait nevermind, I'm thinking of a two point drawing. Sorry!!
Anyways, great work! Especially the last piece you posted.

your last two covers... I'm getting some kind of disconnect with the art work. It's a bit inconsistent. The paintings you did of the women on the different covers look like photographs with some kind of filter on them. Also, the first "Star Bright" image... the building in the background looks blantaly photoshopped in.

Well, I certainly wasn't accusing you of anything. You seemed to have gotten really defensive about that, so I apologize if you may have interpreted it that way. Also, not sure why you think I am AAU, I've never attended that place.
I'd like to hear what other people think. Some elements in your art work look photorealistic, and others look crudely drawn. Then you mix them together and whole effect looks... odd. That's what I mean when I say "disconnect."
Again, you know, just my opinion. Not making any insinuations, just stating that there's a discrepency between various elements in your work and that you tie them together into a single piece.

If you really are an art teacher Im suprised at your response. Im not claiming to teach art but the worrk here sometimes mixes photoreal painting with various other elements of that are obviously drawn without reference, which do not gel well as a whole image. Thats the feedback. Theres no need to be pissy

This image is an example
The purple building upper right is very different in treatment, colour, lighting and architectural style from the Alhambra type moorish palace middle left. The windows are crude yellow blobs on one and finely shaded detail on the other
The bright red and yellow toy soldier goes ok with the girl, but jangles against the sunlit stone and dull green skin tones of the assassins and wizard guys fighting bottom left. They have limbs cropped off and stuff. Again comic guys will be able to elaborate here theyre geniuses at this kind of thing.
Overall the three elements, fairy girl, toy soldier, wizard ninjas, have no obvious narrative linking them, and are isolated on the page and by the differences in the style theyre drawn in. There is also no overall dynamic in the composition, it appears to be random images clustered together on the page. Thats what Slowdaddy was talking about feeling disconnected I think.
Heres an example of what I think an image with these issues fixed loooks like, ie awesome. Hope that all make sense im pretty sure it does but call me on anything confusing. and hey, you can paint way better than me! good luck!

ha they are arent they! like little coins. ok bad example maybe! although I quite like them actually.
But thats the sort of thing that draws the eye away from the good things in your posters.
being detail focused or 'pedantic' is par for people who like to spend hours alone drawing littled detailed pictures i guess, im the same, aspergers as hell.

Fair enough. Tighten up the detail and texture then I guess.

Honestly, artwork should do the talking and not the person. You've had to explain yourself so much that you basically have written a novella. I'm not even trying to be a jerk here but artists can spot photo manipulation right away. The fact you mentioned its not photo manipulation before anyone accused you of it says something. It looks to me you came into this forum expecting one result and you got something completely different.
