Oh thats cool. I was just wondering because these sketches would look amazing if they were finished digitally, especially the third sketch., that one reminds me of a character from a game

Just a WIP, I did in 30 min. Later I plan to add a dragon looking into the sky staring at the moon. The title of the piece was going to be "bathed in moon light". Critiques always welcome!!

I would recommend getting some more practice with the digital pieces.

Also, for the dragons, you might want to keep anatomy in mind.

Hey vayne, great stuff,I really like the life studies and your sketches ,and I thank you for the comment, cheers! Btw,what I noticed is that I never really thought what was wrong initially with some of my renderings or my shading and you just said it straight,"softness".I knew it ,but I wouldn't understand it completely. Thanks again ,and I especially like your cleaness and your solid line .Keep improving and good tidings and drawings! ^^

Thanks for dropping by my sketchbook !
Those last life sketches are awesome! I really like your crosshatching technique.
Your digital pieces look really saturated,it looks like your using the dodge tool. Try to stay away from that, it won't help you images. It's better to pick you own highlight keeping in mind if it's warm or cold. An example: if you have a yellow warm highlight you can try cooler blue shadows.
Keep practicing and if you can find some digital tutorials online I think it will help.

Ok I was going to wait to update, but I could help myself. I wish I had more life sketches to show guys this time.. fail. The life sketch I do have are digital, pure digital, I just made them look, like the black and white drawings on kraft paper sort of thing. On another note I not that happy with the environment with the flowers (raq contest.jeg.). But as always I'm happy to receive every crits you guys may have. Cheers, and have a good day!!

Your life drawings are really good, keep those up. The dragon is also good and so is the landscape in post #8. They have a cool glowing effect.

As said before, great life drawings! You're very good at those. You definitly know a good bit about lighting and shading. Well done. I like the dragon sketches as well .. more of those to come, perhaps?

Hello, nice stuff. I took a quick look at some of your work and it looks like you lose site of the big picture sometimes.

Here are a couple of examples of what I am talking about:

    http://toshema.deviantart.com/art/Th...ragon-83048892
    http://toshema.deviantart.com/art/ar...ekiru-94516318

In both these drawings you lose site of the large forms and focus only on the small ones.

    Take a look at

    http://www.itchstudios.com/psg/art_tut.htm#focus_points
    "Here's an example I made: (A) Important forms | (B) Textue | (C) Both"

Some of your works turns into (B) focusing on all the little bits and loosing site of the whole.
    hope this helped.
