Thread: Keen's Sketchbook!
January 12th, 2009 #1
EDIT: updating first picture to change icon.
It's 2009! A good year to start a sketchbook I'd say.
As probably a lot of you here, I'd love to become a concept artist. So I figure setting up a sketchbook will help motivate me to keep drawing.
Always looking for critiques!
Environments are based of Fheng Zhu's DVD.

You're a decent bit ahead of myself. I'm terrible right now but aspire to do environments. Good looking little thumbnails.
The first step - especially for young people with energy and drive and talent, but not money - the first step to controlling your world is to control your culture. To model and demonstrate the kind of world you demand to live in. To write the books. Make the music. Shoot the films. Paint the art.

Thanks IMBass. Yeah I'm going through Fheng Zhu's DVD right now and it's helping a lot with environments: http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/dvds/fzh03.html

Thanks for the encouragement guys! It's been a loooong time since my last post. But I'm still working on stuff. Gonna start posting here more regularly. Here's my recent arts. I will definitely work on my car anatomy as soon as I'm comfortable with perspective ha.
