Really enjoyed the quick oil studies, especially how you presented them. Clever!
And for the pieces... beautiful lighting on the angel, and the King of Elephants made my day.

Love that last piece. Great composition. Nice work all around, man.
Some really great work here.
Nice one, Aaron!
Great gesture on the front guy, almost Rockwell-like.
It looks like you're getting pretty comfortable with the oils.
My only crits are:
1. I think you need to work on using the lighting to create a more a sense of atmosphere.
This means emphasizing the direction it's coming from, and sometimes losing some details to achieve a 'glow',
It also help unify the characters.
2. Watch that your brushstrokes aren't all the same size. It creates a monotony, and ruins the illusion of texture.

really liking the new stuff!
great skill man,the more I come down th page it gets better and better.love your colors and ambition.
Hi Aaron... I really like that last one. The gorilla looks real big and weighty, and the guy's pose works very well. I do like Dan's little lighting tweaks though...
And going back to your earlier post, there may be a few inconsistencies in my (drunken) guide to cricket!!
Thanks Dan. Those minor touch ups really make a difference. I think i'll take some of that advice and finish it up.
Again, really appreciated.
@Duddle; I can scan in those notes if you want to post them to your portfolio.
Nice work! Great designs. I like the angel warrior fighting the dragon. But all are beautiful. =)
Wow I really dig the stuff I'm seeing in this thread, man. I really like how "thick" the overall texture of your paintings feel.
