Hello good folk of CA.org, I've decided to finally start a brand spanking new sketchbook thread, and will endeavour to update as much as possible!
The last few years have been up and down for me; in work, outta work, back in again and so on...I finally got me a studio to work in, so, absolutely no excuse for not producing and posting artwork!
I fell into storyboarding the end of 2008, for a small independant film company called BigRedButton.tv I've work for them on a freelance basis, doing illustrations and character designs (some, of which I cant post- yet!) and they have a very quirky sense of humor. The following storyboards were done for FRANK a drugs helpline here in the UK.
Below, is a storyboard from a section of a story called Nuclear Family(I cant let on too much). This again is for BigRedButton.tv. I really enjoyed reading the story, and was happy when they asked me to board this section of it, enjoy

Ok, a few 'greeting card' ideas I pitched for, at beginning of the week. Not my kinda thing, this cutesy style, but was educational to say the least. I'm not a huge fan of watercolours, but my arm could be twisted...
When pitching, I had to say what genre these cards were for. I chose adult based and cutesy, kinda obvious... enjoy x
Thanx for droping by Cuervo! - Nuclear Family is a story my friends at BigRedButton.tv have written, and make into a 15min animation. Hopefully they'll get funding for it, and pull me back into the office to finish the storyboards! I can't say anymore than that! lol
Your storyboards are really a great read. Sorry I can't find anything to crit for the moment even if I came for that...
Were you given specific character and environment designs for Nuclear Family? or did you invent some?
the book of poems your friend is doing, what the bok like and the subject matter? i personally would tend towards the pics of 2 girls, but that would depend on the subject matter, no? hope to see more. g'luck, keep pushing dude!
whew,i gotta say...those storyboards really stick in your mind. i looked at this weeks ago,and i had to return now to look again,i love it. one can pretty much see the "commercial" in front of yourself, works great!
its really great to see your storyboards molly - the Frank ads are some of the best adverts around and its great to know of someone who actually storyboarded it!
love your little devil girl too, tho as a crit i would suggust that you keep an eye on the neck area as the head feels a little floaty and not very anchored to the body. the hips and abdomen are sweet as and the highlights are cool too!
Its been ages since I've posted, due to having twins and not having time to draw!!! THey are approaching 6 months old, and sleeping on (a bit) in the night, so it has given me some time to do 'something'...
