    JOFX's Sketchbook

    My name's Jostein, I'm 19 years old and from Norway. had a two sketchbooks here before and starting a new one now because my friends at school want me to be as cool as them. Just got to borrow a pc monitor so now i can go back to Digital art again.
    I have a photo thread going on at the Photographymob http://www.photographymob.org/forums...=6800#post6800
    just use the pictures or whatever, if you wish.
    Please critique until your fingers turn blue-

    Ill start off with some things i did this week

    the lighting on the life painting looks really nice. I love your brush strokes! you've got some flair, show us mooore

    Like making simplified figures like this, is it a good thing or should i try to make more organic forms?
    And thanks for all the comments, but i would love some crit if there is anything to give to small stuff like this :D

    love the ink one with the stool, lovely lines, nice blocking in. honestly no crits man, your experimenting, theres nothing wrong with that. oh, and the first ones great too.

    Uhmm... a mix of styles? doesent the green in the background look a bit blue or cyan : D? must be the mix of really green colours in the middle mixed with the brown on the site-

    nice shapes on her face mate, areas around the eyes could benefit from a little more definition tho. I really like the green one further up. would look great as an ink drawing, then some photoshop colours.

    Study from one of Uglows art pieces, i did three more of the same motif but with different colour rules... dont feel like showing them though

    Halla kammerat bra greier her, liker Uglow opplegget, men jeg synes fremdeles du kunne kommet på søndager så du kunne få gjort litt mer studier fra observasjon. Men ved siden av det er det skikkelig opplegg her^^

    two different works but i think nr 2 looks stupid so i wanted to make something a bit better at least. testing out new styles

    creepy, but cool. The self portrait has some nice shapes, but the eye in full view needs to come in closer to the nose, its too far recessed into the skull at the mo, throws the image off. Actually, it could be the nose thats at too steep an angle, should be more slanted into the brow. I dunno, somethings a little off. great effervescent glow in the last two tho man, and interesting play between hard and soft edges. more please .

    xD!! etter hva jeg klarer å huske har du forbedret deg i det siste, disse siste tingene er hvertfall veldig sterke som bilder !
    liker spessielt godt det siste prtrettet av ho jenta. den lille streken som "renner" ned fra kinnet ho gjør så sykt mye forskjeld hvordan får du det til å bli så realistisk?

    du kunne spart deg det krysset over øye da imao

    wow... the last one is wonderful (as all ofyour images... each one is so different). the only thing i dont like there is the lower part of the image- If I had my way I would cut it
    btw- what does it mean- the little circle on their cheek?
