    hey guys! new year, new goals and so on!
    i want to thank everyone who has supported me over the last year also.
    the CA community is really awesome, i love you guys! i really do!
    let us keep working our asses off and grow! F yeah.


    some random painting from mind, and a study from photo.

    dewd that creature value paint is juicy as hell!! only crit is the overlayed texture could have been worked in more to gel more with the value painting

    keep kicking it large in 2009

    seriously, great new start to a sketchbook. so much character in the bird portrait already you call basic! if you invest more time you could work the texture around the forms some more as snootchy mentioned.
    I'm sure you're off to another great 20+ pages.

    Wooo rockin start! The first image is GREAT...I like that I can see your figure style hitting different flavours, and it really excells in this illustration style. The seperate of texture and simplicity of the tones really works - is this with a brush or have you ventured into vectors? The bird looks pretty plump...can we eat him?

    great start man, loving the value-study in the bird-dude-thing......stuff the area around the eye shows clearly that even basic value blocking can make an object look very realistic if done correctly. great work man!
