My resolution is err..to work hard and practise in all aspect..biggest goal currently is to reach industry standard by the end of 2009 so i could produce a portfolio that would get me an attachment to my dream company when its around 2010 which will also be my 3rd and last year of my course.

Although to reach industry standard in 1 year is tough, i believe if i work hard..i could do it. i believe

My new year's resolution is simply to be better. Not tomorrow, but today.
    MY SKETCHBOOK

I know it's all been done before, I want to do it again. I want to do it again.

    1) Stop wasting so much time on the internet
    2) update sketchbook at least weekly (preferably daily)
    3) learn a few songs on the cello
    4) Set up a portfolio website
    5) get a decent amount of progress done on my roguelike (it's been 3 months and all I have is a half-finished level generator)
    6) pass my courses in university

    So much to do...

    I'll get there one day

-Take better care of my body. I always resolve to exercise but never make good on it, so I am starting slower and catching up on the dentist visits and bloodwork I should have had done 5 years ago. I also squirreled away a few grand for the upcoming results of that initial dental x-ray *groans*

-Smaller, more frequent bites with work. Freelance is still feast or famine but I also need to learn how to pace myself in times of the feast. Sometimes taking a day to go out with best friends or a lover works out better than crunching in a few more harried hours.

-More silly relaxing time! Guiltless video game time, window shopping, hiking... more time with the friends, less time on the 'net. I forget how extroverted I am until I get depressed about feeling isolated.

-Get flyingclam.com gutted and rebuilt to a format that I can actually update on my own.

-More gallery shows! More stuff that's not vector! More sewing, knitting, sculpting, collage, cake decorating! Personal art was sorely missed in '07.

-Less clutter. I am ripping through my apartment after New Year's and donating/recycling like a fiend. And of course, cutting back the intake of new clutter.

-Finish my comic or at the least, let it run its course and see where the process takes me.

-Reality check on my goals and redirecting them as needed. Sometimes the things that make you happy can really surprise you and be simpler than you dreamed.

    Finally....

    -WORRY LESS.

Get off my ass and do something about all my bitching. I'm not giving specifics because I'm just going to do them, not talk about 'em!

1)Try and live a compassionate existance.
2)Explore my own spiritual path more
3)Try and sketch SOMETHING once a day at bare minimum
4)Be the best husband I can be.
5)Inspire and motivate both myself and all the other Seattle Sketch Group members.

    Not necessarily in this order.

To survive. I barely survived '08... sigh... only 2 years left and then I hope things will get better. '08 was probably one of if not the worst year of my entire life.
