    Ruthless critiquing needed.

i'm a tattooist and i've been drawing since always. but never really consistently enough to get very good. in fact there were a few years there where i can't remember anything at all... anyway i see a lot a LOT of tattoo artists that can't draw and i don't wanna be one of them.

Here's some drawings. i'd like them critiqued. be ruthless. my ultimate goal is to be better than i was the week before.

very few drawings get that far. i'll usually get to shading and lose interest. i NEVER get around to any background so my landscapes are sure to bite ass. maybe i just need to learn to draw faster than my attention span wanes. anyone else have this problem?

there's a couple examples of more finished things on my website seancoxtattoo.com

This is the first time i've tried to paint in photoshop, i just started screwing around with the wacom. i understand it would be better to draw something then scan it , cuz the outline here is obviously bad. i've seen people drawing with the tablet as if it was a pencil and paper but.... me, not so much...

i just used the dodge and burn tools. is that how you're supposed to do it? any tips ?

You got alot more nice stuff here. I like the grey tone sketches the best. They have alot of life, and good loose postures, very lifelike, not stiff at all. Out of all the greytones, The girl on the bed especially , mainly for the anatomy and angles with her legs.

The apple is good, the only real advice I can say is when you fisnish it up , just to smooth out the lines, and clean up any scratchy lines from when you use a smaller size brush.
