my first portfolio dump! Updated page 2 05/02/09
I normally only lurk in the sketchbook section but since FRD has gone in to administration i have decided to share some work with you all.
There is still loads that i can't show because its under NDA's but here are my highlights from the last 18 months, mostly from my personal projects.
If you are familiar with my CA sketchbook then i apologise if you have seen much of this before.
Anyway: here you go!

xxEnder Thanks! I have loads more 3d but its all nda squashed!
Poshspice Hi Ally, thanks for popping by. I guess you might find yourself surrounded by x frd-ers in the new year! I would love to end up in your little room doing the concepts and whatnot. Ironically i nearly applied a few weeks ago to join the concept team and then foolishly decided to stay at FRD for a short while. woops!!
Here is a little more. After 5 years of being a character artist i was suprised after sorting out my portfolio how few just plain old humans i had. I decided to spend a couple of days finishing off a likeness sculpt of Michael Caine as Jack Carter. I might make him a full statue and do a version with some expression too.

very nice overall body of work. Reals solid. I like the surreal imaging and style of the mustache man. The fox pic is cool too but.... izzat a photoshop filter there? But anyway. Nice too see something of covering everthing. But for a portfolio, r y gonna streamline this a bit more? Looks a bit buzzy and thrown together. Presentation man. But then again maybe thats just me.
Keep up the good stuff comming and cheers.

Reject-D Hi mate, Thanks very much!
natethegrate High praise indeed!! Thanks very much for your kind words.
D-BAKER Hey Danny boy. I will be attempting to branch out into illustration properly in the new year, so fingers crossed.
bbwolf Thanks! It is indeed a filter. I do not normally touch them but it really added a bit of high frequency interest in this case. I nearly popped a lens flare on it too :p ! This work is no real indication of my portfolio as most of my stuff is under NDA and cannot be posted up. But i have to admit that my portfolio is this broad... i tried to keep it batched into specific areas on my reel.
mariusz Thanks very much indeed!
Coinpurse I do love zbrush!
sony Thanks very much
animosapien Chees dude! I replied earlier to your zbrush inquiry.
chuck18mp Thanks indeed! I will probably do some more realistic slick stuff one day but i just love slighlty silly things
xchosun1x Cheers! I loved doing it, it is not really finished but it is very time consuming work.
Molly Heya mate, thanks for stopping by. I will pm you soon as i wanted to pick your brains a bit about expanding my horizons a bit with new work avenues. Talking of Mr Caine I actually spent the day working on him today. I have attached an updated version to this post.

Thanks for stopping by. When Nick, Ryan and I went to the workshop, way back in Prague, meeting you was an absolute pleasure. It was very inspring to meet someone who was so talented and driven and yet so down to earth and humble. You were and are a massive inspiration to our little gang.

the clown in your first post definitely needs a thumb.
two pictures underneath that, the guy with the sword also needs a thumb and i doubt the guy with the shotgun is comfortable with the way he's holding it.
other than that, great work, i like the toy and tshirt designs.
