    Gotta Level Up!

Hello CA. Ive been watching these threads for a long time and most of the talent here has
given me inspiration. Hopefully in a few years or so this thread will turn into inspiration juice
for others. I am current going to AAU San Francisco aka rape my poor wallet art school.Blah
blah enough of me writing...crits are welcome people so go ahead.

thiese are from old to new..well kinda...

There's a slight awkwardness to a couple of the faces/poses, but other than that, you've got some solid work.

Can't wait to see more. 8)

nice drawings, I especially like the way you clearly define the forms of your pictures - great, confident lines (althought some of the lines inside the contour could do some work and simplification).

    keep going, I'm spotting potential!

Nice studies, I like the clothes ones. Reminded me what I need to study also. Keep it up, doing great!

    Insanity is the key!
Also, studies are a key. And passion is a key. Also, so are inspiration, motivation and dedication. Talent can be a key. Insomnia can also be a key, depression is a sad rusty little key. Damn, artists need one hell of a keyring.

    some more shit

ruuhkis: thanks for the crit bro..I need to keep that in mind when I draw

poo pages here we come..thanks for the comments everyone..so these are some manikin drawings I did a few days ago..I'm not too proud of them...tying to break my bad habits. The bird drawing is from a photo I took at the zoo awhile back just got done with the sketch. I forgot what the bird is called but it walks around like an old man..and its eyes look too human..I stared at it for like 40mins....The coolest animal at the zoo. And the last one is a character design the makes me sad now when I look at it. I did a quick color sketch and decided not even try to paint it. I gotta level up!!

    painter & me

so this is my first time actually using painter (like really trying to paint in it not messing with all the brushes for no reason) and my first self digital portrait..I really like how painter feels. It feels like paint a little bit more the photoshop. I'm not saying one is better then the other. Just another tool in my arsenal. I also Went to a workshop today and I should scan those in tomorrow or today I should say. Thanks for the comments people.

    Hi nice start.
You are posting some good sketches with strong lines.
Goos colour studies too, with those still lifes.
I would like to see some of these taken a little further...
    keep it up.

Slobosaurus: Naw not those wack ones we go to, this was a $10 workshop

Blythe: you telling me man! I swear that's what bother me the most when I draw from imagination. I feel like I don't know enough or that I cant retain anything I learn...Its hard to explain. I just need to draw more, that's what the cure is...thanks bro

All I can say is draw. When you understand that's all you have to do it makes so much sense. When I first came to the Academy I was shocked to see how lazy people are. I wasn't the best artist in my class but I know I worked the hardest. I sneaked into classes, went to as many workshops as I could. I know where I want my art to be and that alone drives me. I believe if you really want to be good at this your mind has to be right and that's your first real study.Try to push yourself & draw your family, draw your friends, draw from masters, draw nude figures, draw anything and everything...I kinda answer your question..and put some other shit in there too.

    Workshop #2

Some stuff from the workshop me and my friend are putting on. Lots of fun as always. I missed all the tight poses because of the Super Bowl (im not saying that the ones we got at the end were bad). Oh Transformers Super Bowl trailer was crazy!

SPACEMOD: thanks bro...I hate my figures hehehehe
