    Aliens: Colonial Marines

Sorry if this is old news, but I searched through the lounge and didn't see anything about this. So word is that Gearbox Software has been working on a new game based on the Aliens movies. It's supposed to take place after the second movie I think. Here are some screenshots I've been able to find

    Aliens: Colonial Marines
    Aliens: Colonial Marines
    Aliens: Colonial Marines
    Aliens: Colonial Marines
    Aliens: Colonial Marines
    Aliens: Colonial Marines
    Aliens: Colonial Marines

I was a little iffy when I heard about another Aliens game, god knows it isn't the first one. But I've got to say that based on the screenshots I've seen and the things I've read about it, it seems promising. Anybody else heard anything/have any opinions?

if they can make it atleast as atmospherely intense as avp2,they're off the hook. too bad you can't play the alien yourself again.
the overall look is abit too clean for my taste...needs more gritty textures.
i'm holding off any judgement till there's more available though.
...isn't the facehugger supposed to have 4 "fingers" on each side?

call it limited poly-counts. Screenies look fun though.

if you look closely, its got 4. it's just behind the third in that screenshot. And the one on the back wall shows it too (but it's kinda under the third one because it's moving)

It looks promising from all I've seen and read. Supposedly you'll have the ability to play co-op campaigns with your buddies. I'm hoping it'll be more teamwork/action oriented rather than survival horror though, I'm way too big of a vagina for a survival horror aliens game. I just hope there won't be any of those "damn <insert vital machine here> is broken. Marine! you go and see what's wrong and rendevous with us later" type of missions, I always hate that shit

But if it's gonna be a game that relies on teamwork, then the friendly AI will really be what makes or breaks the game, I'm hoping it'll be as good as what I've seen on Left 4 Dead. In any case, there's a lot they can do with the game: alien ambushes, enemies coming in from any direction, avoiding the acid blood, cutting through doors, stopping facehuggers from latching onto you, setting up "hold your ground" style missions, basically a bunch of gameplay mechanics that could be really fun, or could make the game really shitty. I'm hoping it'll end up well, especially since this game is based on my favorite childhood movie

I've been following this game for a while now. I love the Alien franchise so much.

I haven't heard much new about it.
