RIP Bettie Page
Legendary pinup model Bettie Page died today at the age of 85.She suffered a massive heart attack a week ago, got into a coma and never woke up again apparently. Here's the press statement.
Statement from her agent:
With deep personal sadness I must announce that my dear friend and client Bettie Page passed away at 6:41pm PST this evening in a Los Angles hospital. She died peacefully but had never regained consciousness after suffering a heart attack nine days ago.
She captured the imagination of a generation of men and women with her free spirit and unabashed sensuality. She is the embodiment of beauty.
She'll always be remembered for her beauty.

As much as I like Bettie Page can you please mark this NWS on your title? I was actually coming to read the news about her death and wanted to show it to a co worker.
While we know what she she did in her career, your image was a bit unexpected...
Thanks.

I still remember when Bettie's career started, and always had a warm spot for her. Her carefree "spitting" in the faces of the sanctimonious made me proud to belong to the same species. Thank you for the memories, Beautiful...

I agree. Bettie broke taboos, and that is never a bad thing. May she rest in peace.
