Haha yeah, they did kinda look familiar. Be carefull with reffing stuff from other sketchbooks though. Mine tend to be filled with errors, so you might learn the wrong things.

You are doing good with those last updates, do more!

nice volume (though ya had 6 days, dont think I didn't notice )
    great anatomy studies!
the color study needs more values, and don't forget reflecting light! (some cubes will fix that though )

Just looked through your sketchbook. So much stuff!! Your studies are very good. I really like your figure drawings. There's a lot of cool poses. Sucks about your elbow. Hope it gets better soon.

Hey man, don't have time to go through the whole book just now, but from this page it seems you pretty much agot a handle on things. Your studies are coming along great, repetition is a really sensible way to go with them. Don't forget to try to recall them from your head every now and then.
I really like the personal stuff, your getting a lot of emotion into your faces and poses. A few details like the way the belt is draping over that guys shoulder could do with some more attention, it's not complying to his form at the moment.
With your last piece; I'm not going to lie, it looks like a ninja is carrying water. Not really sure what is going on there. I'm assuming it's a day scene? If so then I think your values are a bit dark at the moment. Light would be bouncing around all over the place into those shadows you have now (If it's a night image then feel freeto tell me to shut up!)

Loving those Loomis heads to. I suck at those ha

    Peace
    Dan

Real nice studies there buddy. The paintings need some more work though. Pump up the value differentiation.

Keep the studies coming, and like danlambert mentioned, don't forget to draw from your head

awesome studies man. keep putting that work in. also, watch the alignment of your facial features and watch the head size in relation to the rest of the figure.

I'm jealous of your figures It'll be cool if you try to put one in an environment. The drawing of the guy from behind is cool. It looks like it's from a comic or something.

    good figures, as always.

the left concept's right legs looks pretty stiff, its just a tube... try to make the robotic stuff follow the anatomy in some way.

The first face study looks pretty flat, get a big values range all across the face in there and define the planes more, also don't forget to shade with the complimentary color.

More faces will definitely help, keep going.

Your figures are coming along great, are they all from your head? Those last few especially have a lot of movement in them. One thing I would suggest is to try mixing it up a bit. Your getting a long well with young men and women; so why not try drawing a child, or an elderly man or woman, an obese woman, an obese man, short guy, tall guy etc. etc. It's hard, but most fun!

    Peace
    Dan

@danlamber: Thank you, they are indeed all from mind. I still feel uncomftable drawing a figure.. any figure i will give it a shot though Ill try to do some fat / small etc people Thnx again.

Gangster. Watch those features though, some of them are placed at weird distances. Also you seem to be making heads a bit small on a lot of your figures. But apart from that, keep it up dude.

Hey, just stopping by. I don't have anything to critique. You're good at drawing from your mind! Those leg studies and the warrior/samurai guy are pretty sweet. Do you know of posemaniacs?

Those last 2 digitals are looking a bit soft man. The airbrush is the enemy!
With some of those leg studies, you seem to be focusing more on the outline than the forms. Especially in the ones from your head. Make sure you mark in the placement of the knee cap and muscles/tendons and all the other lumps and bumps. Just knowing what the outline looks like means diddly squat when you come to paint it in 3D from your head.
Also with the last guy from your head, try to introduce more colour into the skin tones, the one above it is a perfect example of all the different colours in the skin. Try introducing some purples and yellows as oppose to just slightly lighter or darker browns.

    Peace!
    Dan

the air brush is only the ennemy if you dont come back and harden edges . When ever i use the airbrush i stick it on a new layer and erase back.

as already said: keep an eye on the edges!
however, anatomy is solid, how about some drapery now? clothed figure is always a challenge.....

Really motivating sketchbook! Lots of studies and thinking, you're on a good track!
You seem to put less analyzing into your digitals than traditionals. I would recommend to spend more time, but do it more accurately. Example: hands in digital and hands in pencil. I will be watching your progress, Roger!
