i gotta let you know that i have an infection in my elbow.
And have to take a rest untill its less painfull as it is now.
Atleast thats what the doc told me, you will see me updating soon enough ..
This shit thing gotta stop! Hate being unable to draw!
Anyway. thnx! and ill update again sooN!
Hey man, don't have time to go through the whole book just now, but from this page it seems you pretty much agot a handle on things. Your studies are coming along great, repetition is a really sensible way to go with them. Don't forget to try to recall them from your head every now and then.
I really like the personal stuff, your getting a lot of emotion into your faces and poses. A few details like the way the belt is draping over that guys shoulder could do with some more attention, it's not complying to his form at the moment.
With your last piece; I'm not going to lie, it looks like a ninja is carrying water. Not really sure what is going on there. I'm assuming it's a day scene? If so then I think your values are a bit dark at the moment. Light would be bouncing around all over the place into those shadows you have now (If it's a night image then feel freeto tell me to shut up!)
Your figures are coming along great, are they all from your head? Those last few especially have a lot of movement in them. One thing I would suggest is to try mixing it up a bit. Your getting a long well with young men and women; so why not try drawing a child, or an elderly man or woman, an obese woman, an obese man, short guy, tall guy etc. etc. It's hard, but most fun!
@brewin: Thanks man, the faces from head are still very hard for me ( the fully colored/painted ones) The robot thingie is just a mess up :/ didnt rly try to put something down was more about renedering the pants XD anyway thnx for the thumbs up.
@danlamber: Thank you, they are indeed all from mind. I still feel uncomftable drawing a figure.. any figure i will give it a shot though Ill try to do some fat / small etc people Thnx again.
thanks for the encouraging words in my sketchbook. i'm really impressed/inspired by the progress you're making. i especially like the hand studies that pop up every so often and the confidence in your line quality.
danlambert: Thnx man I noticed.. when i upload them here and look over them i see sooo many flaws .. its unbelievble.. my mind somehow doesnt notice them when im making them? .. ill try to be more carefull ! Btw since ur in my SSG ,, im gonna need ur msn Could u pm this or something.. anyway thnx!
Rhymeswithpuck: LoL thnx,, ur name is awsome :X
some stuff from today and yesterday:
Sketchbook pages - Leg study -
-Using leg study -
- Random KWAAAP -
-Stuff from mind- ( It looks dull and uninteresting.. but i just cant get it all out off my mind yet.. dont know why )
Those last 2 digitals are looking a bit soft man. The airbrush is the enemy!
With some of those leg studies, you seem to be focusing more on the outline than the forms. Especially in the ones from your head. Make sure you mark in the placement of the knee cap and muscles/tendons and all the other lumps and bumps. Just knowing what the outline looks like means diddly squat when you come to paint it in 3D from your head.
Also with the last guy from your head, try to introduce more colour into the skin tones, the one above it is a perfect example of all the different colours in the skin. Try introducing some purples and yellows as oppose to just slightly lighter or darker browns.
Really motivating sketchbook! Lots of studies and thinking, you're on a good track!
You seem to put less analyzing into your digitals than traditionals. I would recommend to spend more time, but do it more accurately. Example: hands in digital and hands in pencil. I will be watching your progress, Roger!
