Pants look awesome! Really nailed that one
I think his brows receive too much light. the perspective is off, even if you went for the curvilinear (it's damn hard).

The coat is reflecting too much yellow light/saturation on its edges .

howdy! i've just dropped in to thank you for your advice and sifted through the entire sketchbook, it's amazing to witness the step by step progress, your stuff is magnificient, esp. the pencils and traditional stuff. my personal fav is the big belly boss hahaha that guy knocked my socks off, you also seem to have overcome your initial fear with color, simply amazing

Dude, you're really getting good at those poses from the harder perspectives, there's a few that are a bit off but the majority are really fucking good! Now let's see you step it up and have a few of them interacting in those harder perspectives. When you can do that you can pretty much draw anything.
You nailed those portraits to. There's very little to crit in this update man, only thing I saw was maybe try a finer blend/render when your shading your faces, but other than that just keep doing what you're doing!
The sp is awesome, pisses all over my attempt haha! I'm still not entirely sure how you managed to get it done so fast!? Im going to try one everyday if you're up for it?

The fatman illustration is great. The lighting and mood is perfect, his pose fits, and considering you were unsure about colour I think you've handled it well. I think could maybe do with a few value tweaks in the face but apart from that I'd say you should be really happy with it. Now you've given me and yourself proof that you CAN do scenes, I will be bitching at you to do them more often haha.

    Peace out home slice!

    hey man

Your progress in just little over a year is nothing short of stunning. Especially liked your CHOW painting of the fairy chick and the one above with the tattooes is awesome. Im not really qualified to crit anything with your work so can just say welldone and keep up the good work.

Maybe its a personal thing but the tattooed lady's tattoo's dont seem believable. Did you ref them or make them up?

www.bmezine.com is a goldmine for tattoo references...

Ill be sure to check in again on your progress!

vatsel: Hey yeah, somtimes i think u can bend the rules a bit..
I like the stronger highlights in on his brows to make them jump out more.
I also know the yellow.orange edges are strong, also did that to try and get the attention to the hand, to get focus on the rings, but im not sure i succeeded there Looks to fake i guess Thnx though

jamsession: Thank you for the kind words man! Much appreciated!
And i still shit in my pants when it comes to color Its freakin hard

    sekiz: Dankuwel,, thanks

danneh: Thanks man I was surprised to,, that sp went really fast..
Guess is got lucky with every stroke XD
The mad perspectives are still bitching hard for me, so ill keep practicing those!

xzelby: Thank you man, i lost very hard with that chow XD But i tried!
That tattoo's i put on there where indeed made up by myself..
And i know they suck hard XD They look dont fit on the girl,, but ohwell
Thakns for the link ill check it out!

Some more selfportrait action with danlambert!
1 made when it was dark behind me.. and today the sun was out ,
the drapes where open and there was light!...
