Nutty bits n' pieces updated yearly (29th November)

I've decided to start a new sketchbook, which I will update daily rather than yearly. So here goes again.

A recent unfinished CHOW design to start.

Sweet! I like how his instrument resembles a dragon, implying his profession as a dragon dentist.

skin tones and metal parts looks great. The other colors looks quite muddy unfortunatelly but overall it's a good character design.

the angel is great, but the wings don't feel part of the angel and they're not rendered enough. they sort of look like part of a tree in the background.
also, the composition is a bit too flat. this could be fixed by making her point towards the viewer, instead of to the right.

great painting anyway. like the elf.

what i really like is the girl next to the angel. is this from life? i love the clean, crisp nature of it.

Thanks for resurecting my sketchbook hp I need to rename it to "updated yearly"

Here are some bits n' pieces I've done lately, including some recent Chows.

The Head and figure studies are all from ref.

Very very nice start of your new SB man! The demon/dryad girl, the studies and the knight in post #19 are the best. Keep 'em coming man!

If you've time please check out my sketchbook and give me some critic/tips/anything.

EDIT: Is that the caterpillar from Alice in wonderland? I love that piece, great expression. Now finish it!

    thanks for the replies.

Some warrior guy and more head coming right up.

The head and figure drawings are from ref, the coloured idiot is me

this also must be some record of mine, to update a sketchbook twice within a space of a couple of days.

    thanks for the comments

Cheers HP, as you can see the floodgates have opened and I'm updating again.

Some doodles, playing a bit with painter, mainly just random stuff.

plus some more head, only 1 head this time, wish I had time for more head. (ref used)

    cheers all

don't know what else to say except sweet character designs...

you've got the kind of sketchbook that makes me want to run off and spend the next few hours drawing. very inspirational. kudos.

and the sad dragon in #26 makes me smile.
