    Marvel Heroes BIG sculptures !!! New way to sculpt...

    Hi my friends again!!!

    I was busy with this "big" project
    MARVEL HEROES; Theme Park in "Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciéncies"
    of Valencia.
    _Time: 40 days
    _Located: "Museo de las Ciencias y las Artes de Valencia" Spain
    _My work:
    _To sculpt 3d prototypes in computer
    _Coordination and collaboration in 3d print over poliestirene.

    The steps;
    _Computer sculpt; these are my firsts sculpts in computer, and I used Zbrush.
    _Programming a robotic "arm", that cut and sculpt in plyestirene the computer sculpt, in the neccessary scale.
    _Put inside an iron structure
    _To Sculpt handly the details
    and I finished my work...
    then the company made this;
    _put fiberglass outside
    _and paint

    I don´t like the finished work, because it is irregular and the paintjob it is very simple , but good, my work was only create the sculpts

    Best regards my friends!!!!

    Wow -that's a cool process
    Yeah, it's a shame the paint-job is a bit gash - because the sculpts are great!

    Awsome sculptures indeed ^^ The fact that they're huge really adds impressiveness

    I have to agree with DuneFishUK about the paint though. It makes my eye twitch.

    I really love 3D models, and I find finished pieces awesome. Even if real sculptures are big, the way they were painted reminds me little figurines, it's the same style !!

    Looks like a fun project. I think your storm sculpt is the best one, both the original sculpt and final cast.

    Beautiful sculpts.. but I wish the paint jobs did them justice! It'll be cool if you could paint all of them white and have a classical kind of theme to the set up..

    Nice sculptures ..indeed too bad for the paint job.
    so did you cut the pieces first with laser cutter? What did you use as a layer before you go on with the fiberglass. Resin does not like polystyrene much.
    I use polystyrene for big sculptures but never used fiberglass on them, i use cloth with white glue to give them skin, the most of them are temporary sculptures so no need for something really hard.
