Well Calarts (the school) really stresses those colorful, experimental figure drawings so they reminded me of a lot of Calarts portfolios.

I like your figures on the black background, very experimental and colorful. You seem to have a really good grasp of form and weight as well in your more recent figures. Overall very nice work!

Nice anatomy- you've got the basics down pat for sure. Do I spot a little James Jean in those nudes at the top? Just curious- not to pry. Keep doing what you're doing, more color and possibly a still life might be beneficial to you. However, just as an audience- no complaints, very nice.

callouses on the fingers. If you don’t have any, you’re not drawing enough.

Thanks jello ^^ I really like James Jean, but I didn't think of him when making them.. Maybe I did it unconsciently? : P I'm trying to keep the colours to a limit because I'm trying to make my art more realistic.. I used to do more manga and cartoon with lots of colours ( http://kimmiko.deviantart.com/art/Me...stmas-70929770 ) and ( http://kimmiko.deviantart.com/art/Bu...oured-73325467) but thanks^^ I'm still trying to find a way making it easier to choose palettes..

And you've nailed it completely, I was actually thinking of doing still life paintings future and focus more on colour.. again, thanks alot^^

"Draw a dream you've once had."

    Thanks Areve! ♥

This took place in Alphonse Mucha's home where he was playing piano while discussing with a character looking who looked like a piece of Michael Kvium's...And it's me entering the room xP

Funky dream! Looking really good too! The birdcage is looking a bit at a wrong angle but the amazing-ness of the painting makes up for it
Beautiful, makes at least me really interested in what the hells going on in it!
do more i wanna see more!

    Oil practise

Asier: Thanks : ) I'd like to keep it a bit rough so I've decided to ust let it be.

So I've begun to practise oils, and I thought studying artists work would be a good idea for practise. This is Toulouse Lautrecs piece "The Kiss"

hi! Thx for kind words you left at my SB
your figure studies are geally good.
I love the last oil, nice colours used.
If I'm to crit something: I dont like the backrgound in the oil. The strokes are all in one directiond. If the strokes are made each in different direction the whole painting will look more interesting.

in any cas I want to see more oil paintings. It's great!

    Thankyou ^^

Heres some oils I've been working on for a while who are still in progress.

..I think I need some practise regarding jawplacement..:p

The first one needs a nosejob :/ ..and the head somehow seems too big D: but I'm satisfied with the second at the moment.

hmm, and I should do more fullbodies..

    Hey, Kimmi )
I've already said all the positive stuff over msn, so there is only constructive crits left! ^^

    ok

    1) I think that when you draw the nose in 3/4 perspective you tend to draw it to far into the face, when it is actually closer to the outer cheek.

    2) One of your paintings has a chin that is kinda small, looks strange. I could imagine it is the result of experimenting with the hybridization of anime and realism. I think it's good that you experiment (developes style) but the result in this case is kinda odd. : )

    3) ok what else...The WIP you have of the girl sipping tea (no wait it's probably coffee ). The main problem here is that this picture seems to have around 3 different vanishing points/horizons. One for the girl one for the seat and one for the room/windows. It helps a lot to lay down your vanishing points/horizons down before starting the picture. If you are not the biggest purist in the world you could use the line tool. There are also some issues with the anatomy of the girl (wont make a big deal outta it since its a wip) for example her boobs are to far down.
