    just flipped through your sketchbook, lots of improvement especially in those last few posts. The still lifes look great especially the colors and edges. The face faces and figures are also coming along well and you can definitely see the influence of algens work on them. if you didnt already know about it janna and him did a interview on crimson daggers a while ago http://www.livestream.com/fuckinartw...1-d1a0c9765711

    Id also agree that you should do a few longer studies. not much more to say, just keep it up!

    I'm still amazed you can get so much color variation and life into these to minutes enviros. What resolution do you paint these at?
    And that doodle is pretty great. I would maybe add a few more higher values on the girl, to really make her stand out a bit more, but the face looks really great.

    The progress in your values is impressive.. Looks like your traditional sketches improved your lines also in digital too.. And proportions and other stuff like color, environments etc. seems allright, so keep sketching!

    Really liking that last painting, it has a lot of potential and already looks good. Keep working on it and finish it off because it'll be great.
    I am really liking your book so far, really enjoyable to go through. A lot of Algen's influence but I guess that will always change into your own style as you progress so no worries

    Take care looking forward to more

    I meant just watching to make sure that most of your brushstrokes served a purpose before you but them down, ie. less brushstrokes. Even more lovely work I see. Keep at it.

    @surfandsnow: Thanks alot surf yeah though i have been trying to get away from the algens style and it seems to be working I think:/

    @jskotte: Thanks. erhm the resulution is 2500x1667, but i work really zoomed out so as not to get caught up in the details.
    Yeah the girl could use some more contrast to stand out

    @pamukluprenses:Thanks and yeah traditional sketching helps out in the digital long run aswell

    @lilnebo: thanks glad you enjoyed my sb. Since a lot of people have commented on my not finishing stuff up I did actually continue with this one

    @Pixie Trick: ah sorry im a moron. I have been working on that but im stil uncertain about my colors witch i the reason behing all the teststrokes:/.
    Thanks alot

    @Zat: Thanks will do

    @alexson: Thanks man. yeah I prefer to use only color from the start, im having a hard time making the colors look right when going from greyscale

    @Joce: Thanks man yeah I use smudge from time to time, you are thinking about the fur?

    @jskotte: Takker

    @Joce: Thanks man, about the left hill... selection tool to get the crisp edges and some work with patience(my biggest flaw). I used some textured brushes to get some ares to blend better and to add some final-ish touches.
    Unless you´re standing with on foot in the coffin I wouldn´t worry about how late or early you started

    @Eddieee: Thanks man glad you like them.
    No im not gonna touch that one anymore the composition is weak and the lighting is inconsistent:/

    @Fumble: Thanks man, I see you arlready started on those studies

    @zxcv: Neither do I???:/

    @raminafshari: Thanks man, yeah i spent quite a bit of time compared to my usual studies, felt kinda good

    Thanks alot everyone taking in the motivation

    Post 256 look reeeaaaal nice. And for a fist ever painting, the acrylics are gobsmackingly wonderful!!!!! I just love how you can layer them and get all sorts of textures and really rich colours. Might I suggest either using the flat of your chalk or more organized hatching with the life drawings? The circular strokes really make the forms harder to read.

    Holy crap dude, that lighter look extremely good.
    And nice job on moving a level up with regards to hands. The only real feedback I have is maybe try some more stuff that is outside of your comfort zone. : )

    Keep it up d00d
