    Ewing's Sketchbook of Awsomeness!

    Hello folks of CA,

I'm JR Ewing, I'm 20 years old and a graphic arts major. Over the past year or so I felt very unmotivated with drawing. Hopefully a thread on CA will help my laziness.

Hey ewing! Thanks for stopping by my sketchbook. I really like the pear thumbnail, but maybe you might want to use the blur tool to get rid of the stippling, since I can still see the circle brush you used.

    Keep up the studies!

Your gestures look really natural, you appear to capture the movement of the subject pretty acurately which is good.

You should read up on your faces (try Loomis) there's some parts of the face that you don't quite grasp yet.

    Hi there!

With this one, I realized you would benefit greatly from a softer pencil. 4B is good. Just something to add darkness; depth. Even adding a very minimal touch of dark tone will take a drawing to a whole new level.

    Dark tones = depth
