yow it is hard to post! mehk at least you still here plissken! real tough cookies, us!
and sushi! yarr! long time no see. glad to see you still about too!
some dwarfs, poss commission.
yeah; I guess this should be up in announcements or crowdfunding? i'll figure that out first. meanwhile:
Calling all friends, family and lovers of animation/ comics alike!
I want to do a project, which will be a hybrid between animation and comic.
This ‘moving comic’ is meant to be enjoyed on a tablet, but will also be watchable on pc’s and other mobile devises. I will need people like you, who think this is worthwhile, to build me an audience.
Like the pages, but more than that –if you think these ideas are worth it- link to this on your blog, site, whatever. Get your friends and loved ones to give input too! (Soon, I mean to have storyboards and such up too, for your consideration)
Also, I can’t decide which project to do! Help me by liking one of these pages, (or, if you want to see both done, you can like both) and asking your friends and family to visit too!
You can choose either Pesky's at:
or Redz at:
first one to hit 1000 likes gets a kickstarter project.
Check the photo albums for story and artwork.
Redz will win over Pesky for sure, cause she is much more muscular,
and her ego is just rising so high. Still don’t have a fb account, so I cannot
participate. I hope you will get the crowd going, and make the red wine flowing.
yo flashback! great to see you back around. im using my tumblr account mostly for posting my daily stuff. http://theash0.tumblr.com/ but ill be sure to visit your sb! also, that's my week of vacation. drew a lot there. but the scans look better then these fotos. I got m up on spartan camp though, bet you already saw m.
theres good flow to you gestures/figures, but you seem to be having problems with proportions. You should try really taking your time with some of your studies like tobbA was saying.
Maybe do different techniques like for one try to visual measuring with a pencil and count the number of heads tall and wide a figure is and if its a photo you can make a grid to get an idea of size and proximity to other parts of the body so you can be more accurate (you can do this before or after drawing the figure to either get started or see how far off you were).
Don't be discouraged by making mistakes though, you just need to know what you did wrong in order to improve and this seems to help for me atleast.

hey tobbA great to see you back too!
guess ca really is back to speed
haha, that painting. wonder if I never measured anything for that. shoulder is just way too wide now that I look at it. got hooked into the painting technique though, and didnt really look up at all. well, maybe ill fix it.
as for longer work. spend 4h on the bargue. that counts, right?
here's the original:
next is some rev practice. did some 30sec gestures, then moved the over to the original photo to check where I went off. usually balance was off and always too short a neck.
then I put the gestures back to the sides and tried putting some geometry over m.
heres just some gestures by heart. different characters. thor, ironman, spiderman and soul reaver.
lastly is some stuff im working on for the next char: a dragon nanny. this one gonna be breast-feeding her wirms!
Thanks for the tip, and yeah, I have difficulty with boxes, spheres, and shading.
With Basgue really push the values, however, I get that feeling that I will go overboard with the tones. Not to mention it really hard getting the texture right, maybe it's the paper.
hey mrFrenrik! thanks for stopping by. yeah; we working hard again. let see how long it lasts.
im doing 4 things right now. which might be a bit much, but ill see if it lasts.
1 doing daily head exercises with the Loomis head and hands book. here s some of the latest.
2 trying to do daily gestures. either from rev or by imagination. these are with rev, obviously.
3 joining in on Cow
4 and Chow.
again, practice in the way of perspective might be lacking. I should do speed paints environments too. uuugh.
Hi there matey
Thanks for the SB visit that was very kind!
I thought I would drop by and see what you have been up to as well, I have to say matey I am impressed with the sports pictures some great gesture in there, nice work.
I dont have anything to crit really other than to say move some on a bit more to get a better body shape in there as well. Some are very loose and a bit untidy and I think it may affect your accuracy later on, I only know that because I rushed a load of images and got sloppy, they were useless at the end of the day because of too many anatomy short cuts.
nice to talk to you again matey stay well and all my best wishes go out to you.
A great kind hearted lumbering bullock

hey lightship! thanks for visiting.
ye your quite right. I need to slow down. espec as funny things happen with my tablet when I use quick strokes. hey, maybe I'll try and turn of the move with flick things. that might help. but ill still need to take time to put m down, even if that works hah!
Also levels I forgot to mention, I don't have PSD, I have GIMP and Fire Alpaca. So, here's something: http://ctrlpaint.com/videos/using-the-histogram
I think levels are the one you use to manipulate this.
