Still no stars?!
Splendid form on that last one! Where was that done?
THIS SKETCHBOOK NEEDS STARS!
hi dude hows it going -- recent updates are looking great!
you've already heard it enough but the plein air in the snow is awesome.
hope 2 see you around in london some time soon man
Some really strong studies, looking good!
My Sketch Book: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...=1#post3085866
Koto: It's at the V&A! beyond the sculpture hall, before the cast courts.
Raffix: Thanks, awesome atelier work your end.
SemperOne: Thank you! I occassionally do concepts too...
I had a commission to copy a hare from another artist (so it's not an original.)
I need to explore more digital brushes and paint with more red :/
Just some studies, been playing around with the default brushes in ps, mostly the wet media brush set, using the "Flat Fan Thick Stiff Wet Edge" and "Brush on Light Weave".
Anders Zorn. I still need to push the reds.
A still life with entirely warm (orange/red) objects.
mate, just a "friendly" warning ... tomorrow you might get stabbed as consequence of your improvement! =D
also, lol at doing the super warm still life after so many studies without enough reds =p
great job and i hope to see more mech and tech stuff along side with the studies
You're very good at copying art manuals!
thanks for droppin by! I couldn't agree more with your crit of my tendency to oversaturate. I consider myself "better" at dealing with single subjects but I totally suck with enviro work
By all means take as many leaves from my book as you want its an honour, although ill be depressed cause you'll kick my butt around the park ^^;;
You've got some fantastic traditional work here, I love the plein air studies and the most recent work is very sharp in comparison to the other things posted. Nevertheless you're miles ahead of me in skill! Hopefully I can do similar in a couple of years.
Ah you'll get better, looks like your concentrating on getting the human figure nailed down and you're making really good progress!
A Frazetta study that took a lot longer than i expected, perhaps a weeks worth of study. Roughly 17+ hours inbetween other studies.
And some some imagination sketching on the train.
Frazetta study is great, I really like that beard!
Thank you very much, I would also love to do some Jeffrey Catherine Jones studies at some point.
Cheers, don't you have priority access to the Tate archive? being a Masters student and all (bring me along!)
A quick Syd Mead study, about a quarter slice of the original painting.
And some tone composition studies in the National Gallery, apart from the Blair Leighton, which was at Sothebys.
Hurrah CA is back!
Thanks you Psychobuddy, I've been trying out conte sticks as well:
And this limited palette oil paint. I totally messed up the colour temperature, we live and learn
...So hopefully this page of my sketchbook will have its images back soon ._.
 they're back! celebrations!
