Wow! Life keeps me way to busy. I need a vacation. Posting some older pieces and a picture of the new drawing table I built. It's 46in wide, 20 in. deep, and 45 in. tall in the front. Hopefully this will get me drawing again.
Look forward to seeing some crits soon.
Scary baby piece I did a few years ago
Ancient gear solider from Yu-Gi-Oh, my sons favorite game.
Here is my new desk/table I built at work. I think it turned out really well.
Happy Thanksgiving to all viewing this.
Just one for today.
I know that I need to work on this type of art more. This is my first attempt at a digital piece any critiques are helpful.
Good news, Good news, Good news... Found out on Christmas day that my wife and I are going to have a baby. Yeah!! Also I have purchased some Ad space at a local gym for freelance work.
Wanted to add this progress photo. This is one of our wedding photos. After I am finished I am going to have it framed and it will hang in our house.
Working in my new moleskin sketchbook. Kind of small but I can take it with me everywhere.
Posting this pic of the Our Hands piece.
I have had this piece finished for some time, just now getting it posted. Its on a piece of 5ft X 4ft piece of cardboard that I got from work. Took me about a year of off and on work. Looking to sell it if anyone's interested.
Hope you all enjoy it and welcome any critiques.
Just one for today, been working on some new characters, just for fun until I get picked up by someone. This is a Tattoo design I did to add to my collection, but alas it wasn't meant to be.
I will try to upload more stuff soon.
Hello to all, Just one for today. I drew this to practice my coloring on photoshop. I will post updates of it when they come. Thanks for all the crits.
Been really busy. Wanted to post the color version of my Hammer guy. All crits will be well appreciated. Thanks and God Bless.
Here are some sketches I did for my online 2D animation class. The model sheet is for my character I created for the final project. Critiques are always appreciated.
Hello all, It's been a while. I am posting just one for now. This is the first assignment I had to do for my Advanced Life Drawing class. I could have added more to it but the assignment didn't call for it. I will be posting more often now because I want to get better at this art thing. Thanks and I'll see you all around.
Hey, doesn't look like you haven't had much company in here. You should add a link to your sketchbook in your signature. People are more prone to visit if they've got an easy way to find your sketchbook when you post around this place.
My ultra generic (but so true) advice to you is to draw from life more. Looks like you've been doing some, but you should be doing more. If you want to practice painting in photoshop you should paint something from life, whatever's sitting on your desk at the moment would work great. I'm not saying that drawing from imagination is bad, or that you should stop doing it. But at the moment I think it'd benefit you more to do some serious studying.
Good luck and have fun.
Here are a few more from my Advanced figure class, Enjoy.
Here I am again. I will be here more and more, posting EVERYTHING!!
Here are some self portraits I did for my Advanced life drawing class.
Your studies of bones, skulls, hands etc are alot stronger than the rest of your work.
In many of the figures and cartoons it feels like the figure is abit soft and clay-like... missing structure. I think if you lay down more basic shapes (torso, skull etc) and forms as an underdrawing your finished work will be alot stronger.
my sketches here... http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=92997
www.sevans.co.nz , visit them or a puppy dies!
Thanks to all who have left crits, I look forward to more.
Here are two drawings of a Greek statue. The first is with graphite and the second is with charcoal. I get a little hesitant to use charcoal but it always turns out pretty nice. Enjoy.
Hello again everyone. I am really enjoying my figure drawing class. Crits are welcome.
A study I did for my figure drawing class. My wife was willing enough to pose for me.
This is another piece I did for my class.
Here are a few more figure studies I did for my class. I am hoping to enter some of the design comps. here just as soon as I am no longer busy.
here's my sketchbook link. I hope to be going to the Art Institutes also. you're drawings look well, but they need more dynamic composition. More spice, and props especially. Make everything over-exaggerated. It'll help tremendously.
Hello again everyone, here is another one from my figure class. My wife is such a great model. Hope you all enjoy, crits are always welcome.
Here is a piece I did for yet another assignment for my class. Had to create my model into a game art Illustration. I always thought my wife would look good as Lara Croft, so here she is, just a little pregnant though.
This is my final piece I did for my figure drawing class. I really like it but it could use more work. Enjoy and critique me please.
