    "painter color picker" only for MAC :(

    Hi,
    I was searching for some color pickers to CS4, but nothing is good.
    I search only this, for MAC

    sorry for the delayed reply, I was just branching out from my normal hiding holes and exploring other forums.

    nattyware pixie is a great simple color picker, free download with copying options that lists all numerical color values (rgb, cmyk, hsv, etc).

    it's not built into photoshop but i'm sure if it was it would take 1000x more processing power. just a litte side app.

    You could also try turning your swatches palette into a color wheel similar to NoxisMad's tutorial

    Also there are the Visibone color swatches in CS2 and higher.

    I downloaded that color picker you linked and it's not all that hot. The circular hue selection is nice, but saturation and brightness are controlled by two independent sliders, not that convenient triangle that painter has. You're not missing out on much. I threw this together as a solution, so maybe it'll help. Here's the PSD: http://manabanana.org/Images/Post/colortri.psd

    Use the eyedropper to grab a hue then fill the solid, unlocked triangle and pick from that. Hopefully you find it useful.
