    A weird critter I drew and liked. I guess it's like a Brontotheres/Beetle?

    Muscles yaaay

Swimming is over and I've vowed to do at least two pages of studies a day from my book. Almost done with the cranium now

My sketchbook is too big to scan normally, it's pretty annoying. But I am sticking to my goals!

According to my calculations, the book will be done in 80 days. Gotta get crackin'

I'm almost done with all the muscles, but I'm not uploading them because scanning that much would take days. Instead I impart you with a selfportrait

The ref I had was tilted and I tried to draw this head straight, so now it's weird looking. But I still like it all the same.

    Red face It's been awhile

    Wow, it's been awhile 0.0

I've been drawing, just not posting, but since it's summertime I figured why not start again. I've starting taking a class, it's just a community college thing but I do get to draw statues and things, and I'm feeling a lot better.

there's more but it's just boxes and shapes, which I know are important and fun to draw, but probably boring to look at

    Doodle

    A motivator I made today

not that I'm unmotivated but how can you not draw with that thing demanding that you do! Now I need to think of a goal to complete to fill in the other eye.

Today I realized that I had told myself I would learn to paint this summer, but it's nearly August and I'm still clueless. Well not clueless but pretty bad. So I was inspired by a daily painting thread to do daily paintings. I even did the same first subject because I am unoriginal, which is dumb because I only have clear thumbtacks and I shouldn't render clear things this early on, but whateverrrr

Not awful, but really flat looking.

Colors are good, but the perspective is borked.

    Thanks Jackpot!

Painted during a thunderstorm today, barely finished before it got pitch-black!

My mom's little bird thing, the dark parts are supposed to be cracks, I don't think they really look like cracks though

I'm trying to get better at little details like the spots, but I think I should stick to basic froms and masses before doing that

It's odd, when I'm painting I'm like eww this is coming out soooo bad, but when I'm done I actually like it!
I'm going on vacation for a week. I'm leaving tomorrow so I don't know if I'll have enough time for tomorrows painting, and I won't be painting til the 15th.

    Reallly bad flower

It was doomed from the beginning because I couldn't mix the right color for the flower. How do you make fushia? I mixed a lot of red and a little blue and it just looked like... blueish red. It was odd. Any help with that?

Nice paintings and studies. Aside from continuing with those; you might want to practice with perspective a bit.

Thanks, FightingSeraph. My perspective needs so much work it's not even funny xP
    Seashell Again

I like the colors, I can't do details. I think I'm painting too much, because I'm starting to get a "Just get it done so you can go on with your day!" mentality, which is really bad.

    Picture I did

Really great stuff in here, and great to see a mix of digital and traditional painting.
Your biggest issue with the life stuff I think is value. Really try to look hard and get them as accurate as you can because its the value, not the colour that will give your work life/form.
Also that last illustration you posted is great! although that's one hell of a bright candle!Animals really seem to be a strong point of yours. Have you had a look at the Creature of the Week activity? I think you'd kill at that.
    Keep it up

    Peace
    Dan
