Ok, here's some art that I did recently.

And that sword is there because I don't want anybody stealing my work.

And these are older pictures I did. This way you can see how my skills have improved:

Uh how come nobody's replied? But I got a new picture, I just started to color digitally with my sister's help! And forget about details, because I don't draw detailed nudity. I draw UTN, or undetailed tasteful nudity, like Sally Acorn without a vest and boots.

First of all, you need to learn about basic shapes. You are never going to improve until you start using basic shapes to draw things instead of drawing silhouettes and colouring them in. Your characters lack structure, something that every living being has. Skeletons are what give bodies basic structure and shape.

The animal in your first picture looks like he?she? is wearing a diaper and a blindfold. He also has no nose... who are you tryin' to imitate now? Snapesnogger? The ponytail is also too solid, as if he had used wire to support it, and his hands and arms look bent very awkwardly.

The second picture? Has a girl that looks like you used E.T. for the head and neck reference, and then generic anime for the face. Her right arm has no elbow, and her left arm looks like it's mostly fat or belongs to an elderly drag-queen. Her left boob looks too small while the right one is way too big, as if she had recently had a lumpectomy. Her spine has no curve, and her fingers no joints, so how is she able to even play the shapeless guitar that looks like a kindergartner drew it?

I could go on and on but I could say much of the same thing for your other pictures, and in the last one, it looks like that guy's breasts got sewn together or something. That is way weird. Try looking at human anatomy before trying to draw a shirtless human male.

I didn't ask for critique, otherwise I would've put this in the critique section. And plus, I try to improve as much as I can, but I don't want it forced on me. Please respect me, or please leave.

Sanjouin obviously this guy is pretty young compared to the majority of people on this thread, so critiques must be handled gently

dboy from the quality of your work, i assume that you must be pretty young. Now CA.org was created for people just like you to gain knowledge and exposure to help the grow artistically, and critiques aren't supposed to be negative, but to point out flaws you may not have caught. Sanjouin was critiquing your work because that is how someone will reply to work like yours. No one will give you props here for coloring with pencils when you have work like Bluefooted, Cicinimo, and Hurricane (Final 3 of LMS) who have worked for years on their art and are still improving.

Moral of the story: Be humble, accept criticism and practice, practice, practice

Hey, I am not young. I'm 27 years old: I'll show you proof if I need to. And I worked for years as well, and I still am improving. And also, those aren't pencils, those are crayons. I like crayons more than pencils because they cover more area with less drain, but I just started to learn digital coloring. And also, I do not want critique. I improve whenever I can, so please respect the critique preferences.

Um, he ain't young. In fact, he's 27 years old, here's a couple pics of him:
    http://dboywheeler.deviantart.com/ar...-2002-55436280
    http://dboywheeler.deviantart.com/ar...boats-55436655

He acts like a total jerk on deviantart when anybody critiques him. I should know; I've given him some very nice critiques and he went and hid my comments and told me that he didn't want critique, and would rather learn on his own. The problem is? he hasn't improved in all the years he's joined deviantart. He's also until very recently been stalking a girl eight years his junior and spamming people who didn't agree with his picture where he was protesting homosexuality in fanfiction.

Dboy honestly doesn't know how to relate to others on the internet and will not respect any opinions that differ from his own. What else can he expect after three + years of this juvenile behaviour? I've been very gentle to him up until he acted like a total jerk on soncirocksmysocks' page after she had stated she was tired of him stalking her. He needs to learn to respect others and treat them like he wants to be treated.

    EDIT:

If you are 27, then you need to start ACTING your age instead of whining and crying because someone tells you the truth! And ever since you pitched that fit on Kylee's page, you've lost even more respect from others on deviantart. Also, there are no critique preference settings here, Bucko. This is a more respectable site than deviantart; it's not for people who can't handle constructive criticism. This is a place where people can go to get help and get away from the empty praises and back-pats from mindless fans who don't know real art from a puddle of vomit. If you can't take criticism, then this obviously is not the place for you. In fact, *I* can do far better artwork using only drawing paper and some crayola watercolours. Here's the pic I made with them:
    http://sanjouin-dacapo.deviantart.co...color-92433392

Now obviously it isn't perfect; the lighting and structure needs improvement, and I think I should've corrected the colours better, but it just shows that quality of art is not always determined by the tools used. Tools are only part of it - there are people who can make better art using only chalk and pavement. What you need to do is listen to advice and start taking some basic tutorials on shapes, perspective, lighting, and composition. It'll be a vast improvement.

You never noticed my critique options. Also, I have a good reason for protesting yaoi and yuri: It's forbidden behavior, as proven by God's Word in the Bible. And thus, writing about yaoi and yuri is unacceptable. And you don't understand that I say no critique. All those lulzwhores that do so anyway make me wish Death Note was real, they better be thankful they live in the real world.

And plus, why do you think I'm a pedophile for being a fan of Kylee? I don't get why she thinks I was one, those pictures I drew of her were just harmless fun. And people should learn to be nice. I don't see how I need to improve, all those tutorials are not my pace! I mean, there was even somebody who drew terrible art making fun of me. I'm glad he got banned, he deserved it. I hope ED gets shut down soon, as well.

I noticed your critique options on deviantart - they basically say "I'm too darn proud to listen to someone's HONEST OPINION because I think I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread!" As for homosexuality being forbidden behaviour, it may be, or it may not be, but you have to respect other opinions instead of forcing your own on others when they disagree with you. We're all thankful that we live in the real world; too bad you don't.

The way you kept on acting like you were Kylee's bestest best friend and giving her all those crappy gifts made you look that way. I don't know if you were or if you simply have a problem with obsessions, but it looked pretty darn creepy. We were nice - I mean, did you see how nice I was when I was critiquing you?

Those tutorials not your pace? Come on, even a child can understand how to draw a circle and do simple shading to make it a sphere. It's not that difficult, is it? Also, that guy was playing a prank on you because you were acting like a first class wanker to everyone who was trying to help you NOT look dumb. ED is also not going to be shut down because they are only doing this for fun and they pay for their own servers. You are only making this worse for yourself, you know? You're 27, act like it.

sounds like you two have a beef with each other.

So out of respect for the Sketchbook forum, could you take this to PM? Because this thread WILL be closed my a mod if the personal attack posts continue.

Sorry for gettin' carried away there - lotta people got a 'beef' with this joker because he keeps mistreating those who try to help him. I'm trying to tell him what he's doing wrong but it's like talking to a brick wall - he still don't wanna improve even if it means sparing what's left of his dignity.
