    Aww, your brushwork in the portrait looks delicious! I especially like that glow in her eyes. I don't know if you still need an answer, but I'd say keep studying and experimenting a lot more, and then once in a while do some portfolio stuff to test your skills.
    And then please come over and teach me some digital rendering skills
