More work on this piece, after like 2 hours of wasted time rendering haha

Quick costume sketch I did whilst thinking of ideas for the piece about, kindof realized that i'd spent too much time rendering that back to just let it go? I guess I should have kept stuff looser and had a solid plan before rendering pointlessly.

    ^ agree with the above.

but would also say add more detail to muscles and such. Im not sure if its a WIP or if its done. So exclude my last comment about detail if its a WIP (since it would be added in later anyways).

My observational skills may be great but i said nothing about my drawing skills

Man, I like dem apples; haven't checked here in a while and you suddenly pull off stuff like that (not sure if I commented yet though). Well not really suddenly I guess, seems like you're putting in a whole lot effort; keep working hard, I'll be watching

I like the blur motion added in the background. The nose is a little off compared to the direction of the head (unless he has a broken nose). Otherwise its a pretty good mutant thingy. Now looking at the blur and the original, i would say the blur was definitely a good idea, adds more focus on the face and makes more character.

My57: Thanks yeah nose is meant to be twisted, cheers

Pencil drawing...it's something to do with the head and neck size, but the proportions seem so off. Shoulders may be too wide to the head and the hips should be wider than the shoulders too.

Some crap. Should do some studies of things I actually need to learn: gesture, anatomy, faces from different angles, different lighting for face, composition, colour theory, environments, mechs, lines (really bad on that at the moment) etc. I'm just kindof studying for the sake of it at the moment, and very rarely.

For a course at school we have to create a 15 page Game Design Document of a game of our own creation so that someone can read it and understand what it'll be like. Lucky me I get to do artwork for characters, levels, interface, combos, maybe even mockup screenshots of cutscenes. Games gonna be about a guy with a drill for an arm fucking people up, apart from that I have no ideas I'll probably just dump it all when it's done.
Just kinda sketching ideas out, pretty sucky proportions

The line quality on the second image is great. Try to achieve this quality in all of your drawings . Keep it up. Your doing great.

Nice new batch of updates, i like the lines on your figure studies. Things are coming along nicely don't you think? About this one: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...6&d=1253447253, the torso and arms are too long and you could probably move the clavicle up a notch too. And make the neck a millimeter thinner. But it's starting to look convincing imo. Your dedication is recommendable, but don't forget to take a break now and then ok?

I'm not going to lie and say 'Yeah, Sam, you're the best d00d on CA; no one can compare to your prowess', but for some reason, I'm inspired the most when I drop by your sb. I check it every day, almost religiously. Keep on grindin', brudda

I'm ill at the moment so not really getting much done, can't draw if i can't concentrate Also I'm probably going to be drawing less for a while, another best mate is moving, this time to NZ, so have to make the most of the time left, even if it means less art.
