    maeshanne: Thanks
My57: A pat on the ass: Cheers
    SnobbyOo: Cheers
jatherip: Thanks..i think my designs are kinda weak not something I've focused on enough
jordyskateboardy: Thaaannkkss. In the bigger picture, I am still a complete noob
Chaser226: Thanks, I've been way too lazy on that
Walid D: Eeek i forgot about the edges D: Thanks
walnut: I did pick sometimes to check values, but i mainly just found the colours through trial and error on the colour i wanted on the photo until they matched. I find colour picker is usually wrong with colours anyways.

Err seriously need more crits guys. I'm thinking I should focus on colours, hands, feet, proportions, and design at the mo?

Some bridgeman, some photos, I realised I sometimes make heads way too small

Some proportions studies, 8 heads seems way too long? or did i do it wrong. I kinda fucked up around the pelvis-leg area here D:

The body is 2 1/3 heads wide if it's 8 heads tall.
You don't need to be so crit-hungry. If people see problems, they'll comment. Just keep on studying intelligently.

Lots of improvement here, I'm liking the figures on the previous page especially. Your work definitely seems to be paying off.

    YEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!
    Awesome.
Critz critz, well since you asked for them.
Really watch out for the proportions with everything you do, do a basic invisible sketch just to get a feel for the subject and then go on to the actual drawing.

Also work on the rendering some more, some of it looks a little bit scratchy right now.
    Good pose maniacs

    Keep at it

Craz: M'kay. I'm crit hungry because it's probably the only reason I post here, otherwise I may as well just go about my business with no online sketchbook.

In the last post, the ears on the fella' for your patterns project are too small. I'm sure you already know this, but the ears generally go from the brow ridge, to the bottom of the nose. And I know they're pushed back a little, 'cuz it's a front shot or w/e, but I still can't help but think they're a little too small, still.

That medic looks pretty sick. I like the bust of him, mostly. But his face seems a little short (I don't even know if that makes sense). It looks like for the full body you were just trying to throw down his costume, so I'm not going to bother critiquing that.

    Nice update. C:

Meissner:Yeah very true indeed, i was trying to make the ears match by filling in more black to mould the shape so after a while they kinda shrank, a black is a bitch to rub out I also totally get what you're saying about the short face. Nice crits, lovely

Earlier I got really depressed and impatient about this painting, then annoyed. But I've cooled off a bit now. The reasons it isn't working is because the colours weren't thought through, nor the background, I didn't think about structure and went straight to value and lastly the design is way too basic (she's dressed like a prostitute.) I need to work on my studies more, especially skin tones I think, and also gathering a bit of reference now and then in these paintings would be very helpful.

    ChuanMing: Thanks

Craz: I hear you about the red, that's what sucks about overlays. Not so sure about bounce light on the head scarf, it's a fairly flat object so it probably wouldn't occur. Unless you can prove me wrong?

Going to try and do a skin tone study everyday. Whether it's a straight to colour SP or a nude photo study I don't care, but this scares the shit out of me and I need to get over it.

This took me like 5 hours to paint. It didn't really help that I tried having two light sources either side. The colours suck and the face came out kinda weird. But hey, what did I expect on my first go. Give it two months and we'll compare...and hopefully I'll speed up as well, 5 hours is a long time. I actually filmed this but the file was too big to speed up

Loving the sketchbook! Lot's of great stuff you've got going on here.
Im really impressed that you're doing a little something every day .. it definitely does help with improving upon various techniques and skills!
I can't really think of any crits to give, other than what's been mentioned.
Im just really loving the rate of improvement that you're at
    Keep it going!

You're probably right; I just looked at the head-scarf and quickly assumed it had a certain thickness to it or was off the forehead at the bottom, in which case I think there would be some bounced light right beneath it. Or maybe not.
Could you break the file into smaller files and speed them up?
Is the bottom-right chick Heather Graham?

sam, nice quantity of work coming out of here.
remember you studies because you want to learn.
the more you want to learn the more you will do

so take your time and really ask yourself what you could de better, stand back from your work often and compare it to the subject, see something fix it.

    keep going dude

jordyskateboardy: Dude what are you talking about lol Cheers

Zorcron: Not sure what that is but I'll look into it for sure. Thanks.

Forgive me for not doing the SP for today Was my dad's birthday so there wasn't much time for art.

From imagination. Straight to colour. The skin tones suck, need lighter values, and rubbish colour choices. I'm enjoying using edges more now, where have they been all my life

BubbaGump: Yarr digis are still shit thanks

SP about 3-4 hours. Edges are really interesting things to play with, too bad I can't use them for shit. Colour choices are still pretty poor. Just needs time I guess Also, excuse me looking like a fat maniac in this. And I forgot ears, ran out of time

EDIT: Ohh yeah. Got an Intuos 4. Pretty smexy. Speeds things up and it has like 4 times the amount of pressure level than my old shitty tablet.
