Wow, those mountains look great, nice work! Where did you paint it? I've never used real paint in my house, do you have some space set up at home or did you do it elsewhere?

Alright, the character: The pose isn't really working. Is he standing still or walking? Either way, he's about to fall onto his face. Standing won't work because the weight needs to be balanced. But walking is really just controlled falling, I just don't like how there's no indication of leg movement.

If it's a standing/leaning pose, then move his left leg forward to take the weight. If he's walking, then lift his right leg so that it looks like he's gonna move it forward. Maybe have his toes on the ground but his heel lifted like he's pushing off. Both feet are planted on the ground right now. You might see this when someone is walking but it looks unnatural for a still image.

Ahh I'm never around when you guys do thunderdome Last two enviros are pretty amazing, but I think you should seriously get out of your comfort zone now. ANATOMY! When you get proportion and muscle stable you'll be the shit because your perspective skill DO IT!

Well, this is one of your worse things, but you can learn from it.
For a start, the rendering is soo messy! It sometimes works, but only if you are good at doing it smooth as well.
Next, you haven't shown any planes at all. It just looks like an egg shape.
Oh well, you live and learn!

Hey dude, nice improvment !I'm really sorry for not posting these days ! Well, you have to learn me acrylics Your acrylic enviro looks really good ! For your last digital enviro, i find that colors are a bit dull ! Don't hesitate to use saturated colors (especially for the grass ) , think about light to create a good mood, and to bring alive your enviro ! You're on the right way ! Cheers

That cliff environment rocks man! And I like the fact your trying different things, like portraits. Keep working on them, they are fucking hard to do.

Work hard, anything is possible. I know, I know, its a very cheesy response but its true. Hard work and dedication is the key to reach your dreams. -Bjrn Hurri

Your enviro is pretty cool man but it needs a few more sharper edges and hit up a reference for the tree if you ever rework it. For the face watch how the proportions the eyes are to far apart and the forehead curves too much. I want to see some more update

Cool car man and a pretty interesting concept for your thunderdome.
I think removing the black line art would make it look nicer
and there's a little bit of confusion what he is standing on.
Keep working at it man its getting better

dude!! that acrylic very good indeed! and nice progress on the gestures!

on the shading in photoshop be careful not too mix too many values at the same time..if you start from a black silhouette and work in B&W, do all the midtones first then gradually go brighter where it needs it..try keep it tidy expecially early on, it'll will save headaches later.
also if you dont do it already keep opacity at 100% and get used to control it with the pen pressure.

Shardana already said it, but if the contrast between tones is too great when you try to blend, you get muddy transitions. Always have your hand on the Alt key and just colour pick like crazy when you're blending. Also, try not to add tones in little blobs, look for the big areas of tone and work from big to small. Simplify and generalize at the beginning.

Wow this latest enviro is kick ass I must say, Though I think it would make it stronger if you added a point of interest at the end of the cliff, like a castle or anything that comes too mind.
Nice improvement man keep it up.

done, didnt expect SPs to be that much fun! maybe its just acrylic and this wonderful "oilpaper" that I got!

likeness is pretty good, now that you got my first 3 SPs, I think you have an idea of how I look not anonymous anymore

    I should vary the pose

and, yes, Im well aware of my silly palette

    hope you like!

It's a shame the left eye looks so messed up, this is isn't a bad SP. Some lighter tone on the left cheek and more correct definition of the neck would make it better too. And put less reds in the colours. Try working with Burnt and Raw Siena, mixed with a good deal of white and a cobaltisch blue for the shadow tones. that's what i've been taught recently anyway.

Nice mountain-enviros. I like the silent mood the convey. The ninja character needs more work. The pose seems kind of stiff and his body isn't easy to read.

Janos: good call, I really should get out of comfort zone, regarding my cheap environment designs! thanks for your kind words btw.!

Dilated: hey, new username? don`t blame me, my englishs really bad, but…I dont get it =) Im sure youll explain in msn! agreed on the nose, Its even more obvious when flipping the SP. to be improved in next SP.

Nettle_Mountain: No gain without pain! soooo good to have you back! good to hear that Im not going in circles. I totally agree, lets put in a new gear! maybe its time to really make the changes I promised to do for so long!

I was away last week, in a ski-camp, and when I got back yesterday evening so many things happened, the MB book finally was here (pure awesomeness), your PM that you were back (though was really bad to hear bout you accident), and simply CA.org, still there! so it wasnt a dream huh? =)

uhm Im again blahblahing…so this time, Ill just DO IT, and here are a few, Ill do:

Im selling my xbox 360 right now. with the money, Im going for a better pen tablet.

I read the TV-program now every day…just to convince myself that there is IN FACT only shit on!

Ill change my room completely, optimizing it for ART (desk into Light-zone etc.)

after 3 months I am finally convinced that I can reach everything with hard work. so I start to really work hard now.

though today, only did this lill … thing, I slept whole day anyway.

one week holiday still ahead, lets get the most outa that!

hey mate, your environments are looking good as usual, i especially like the mood in the white&purple path thing. Your posemaniacs studies are looking a lot better as well, your lines have gotten a lot cleaner and is much easier to read. However I feel that you need to study heads a bit more. Try to get a feeling for the planes of the face and be careful of how high you place the eyes in your portraits.

Anyways keep it up. Remember that you can do anything you set your mind to, so just go and get it!
