I actually like your stereotypical green reptoid alien, but the black one is cool too! Keep it up.

    **Colour study**

I'm trying to an accurate colourisation of the umbrella's shade on the character and cant really manage it. It's hard enough trying to find reference materials and cant really experiment in reality right now. No sun, no blue plastic sheet...

By all means please construct me with your criticism.

nurraymjo - Thanks man I shall!
midknight523 - Yeah I did a few life studies at college but I was lazy.. I really want to do more classes.
    OmertA - Thanks
Strassenpenner08 - Thanks! I dont usually do props but its fun. The images at the top are just close ups and simple explanations for the joints on the computer screens.. I added those for my friend who's going to model this.

    !!!WIP!!!

I'm gonna try to update this sketchbook daily...I need to improve super fast!

Very cool stuff, really like the personal armors, have you ever seen stuff created by Makoto Kobayashi? take a look at the AS Wars sections, old stuff but inspiring and may also prompt some more ideas.

    Keep on going!

Thanks! I love to put in those small details, even if they are hard to see. I suppose it gives them more life

Nice sketches you have here. I would though, make the argument for bolder brushstrokes and working the colours up from the begining, overlayed colours tend to become a bit broing and tend to rely to much on the light dark contrast. Try it out mate
